Title: La Ninya at the vet today
Post by: Adela on September 08, 2005, 12:40:07 PM
Ninya had a teeth cleaning appointment for Friday but her little paw is all swelled up and she has licked a bald spot on it. I noticed that she kept licking her paw and limped a bit yesterday morning. I checked it out and called the vet and they said to soak it in warm water and try to keep her off of it until Friday..(this was Wednesday) because they were going to have to put her out for the cleaning so they wanted to do it all in one day.

So I gave her a baby aspirin and soaked her little paw and she seemed to feel better late last night,  but this morning it was still swollen so we decided to wait on the teeth cleaning and get her paw looked at and so I  took her in today and they are going to work her in. They may have to put her out to work on her paw. RAYS  please. Although she is our oldest..we think of her as the baby. Thanks guys

Title: Cellulitis???
Post by: Adela on September 09, 2005, 03:31:08 PM
 :dontknow:

The vet said that he hasn't seen to many cases of cellulitis in cannines before. He couldn't find any cheat grass and said that there is no visible area to lance to drain her paw. He injected her with antibiotics and sent some home for her to take twice a day for 7 days. Her paw looks the same to me this morning as it did yesterday. BUT she is not limping as much. She is being very quiet and laid back... so she is not her usual holy terror self.

If it grows larger in the next few days we will need to take her back in.  Thanks for the rays... keep them coming.

Maybe she is so human now that she is contracting human illnesses :thinik:!

Nin, hope you're feelin' better today.  When we don't feel good, we can't be the little terrors we love being.  Get well soon!

Sending rays to your baby.   No matter how old they are, they are always our babies.  Even old man Max is still our baby.

We remember when Ninya actually was a youngster.   Hard to believe that it's been seven years already.

How is everything with the little patient?  How is the paw doing?  Penny had a inffected paw in the begining of the Summer they gave some spray for it and it went away.  But the only reason I knew something was up was because she was licking it like crazy!

Sending rays the teeth cleaning and paw are taken care of and your baby is just fine.
