YEAH, YOU KNOW WHY THEY'RE RUNNING SO FAST?

THEY'RE HOT ON THE DACHSHUND TREAT BOX TRAIL!!

NEVER TRUST A PACK OF DOGS WITH THEIR HAIR IN A TOP KNOT!!

I've no doubt that Poodles are excellent sled dogs... Ours can run with us cross country skiing for 20 kilometers no problem!! and they just love the snow!! Here's a pic from a frosty -30C morning....

But alas,,, no match for the mighty Doxie!!!!

What great pictures!! I really would not have expected the poodle, even the standard ones, to handle the cold that well. I guess it has to do with their coat helping repel the snow...

Wow...what beautiful pictures!  Your babies are both gorgeous....my sister had the sweetest standard poodle named Brutus...but one day they let him out in the yard to do his business and he did not come back in....the gate was of course closed.......it is believed that someone stole him.  They have never gotten over that.  Brutus was very loving and he would sit and "talk" to you....just like he was human.  Poodles and Dachshunds rock!!!

Hi
The poodles coat gets thick when left long but it also traps alot of snow,,,
People wonder what kind of dog she is with 6-7" of fluff all over,,, looks like a small bear :2funny:
I've never seen her cold ever and we go for walks everyday,,,some winter temps can be -40C easy
the cold seems to only bother her feet and she needs to wear booties when its cold out :thumb:

I'm sorry for the loss of Brutus....
I can only imagine their pain...
A part of you lives in all your dogs..
We're wondering how our Doxie will endure these winters :dontknow:
Should be interesting with boots and a coat and hat!!!
I can see it now.... :2funny:

Thanks all for enjoying the pics....
