That's amazing! My mom just gave me pictures of my grandmother holding HER dachshunds - one from the 40's and another taken in the mid or late 20's As soon as I get the scanner to scan I'll post them! Teckel Syndrome - it's genetic!! LOL!!
Karen
That is so cool!!!
Great piccys.
Our dachshund tradition was a bit more recent...dating back to November 1992 when I first purchased Rudy. In February 2003, I adopted Max, and then after Max went to the Bridge in 2006 (Rudy preceded him the year before), the Zs came to live with us. We had babysat for the Zs previously. Here is a shot taken in November 2003 which shows all the members of my dachshund tradition.

An Ode To David's Doxies:
They're coming, they're going,
They're coming, they're going. . .
Hut, two, three, four.
i don't know but I've been told. . . (repeat)
Dachshund hearts are solid gold. . . (repeat)
Sound off - One, two
Sound off - three, four
One, Two, Three, Four - let's eat!
(O.K., that not the official ending, but after all, it's marching dachshunds, not paratoopers!)
