Hi all,
My baby, "Vegas" is 10 months old & I am still having the hardest time potty training him. I live in a 2nd floor apt, which makes it a little more challenging, however, I take him out often & even have pee pads in the house. Sometimes though, he still "goes" under my bed. I feel that he knows he shouldn't do it but keeps doing it anyways.. Any suggestions??? :meme:
We had a really hard time potty training Penny as well. But consistancy is the key! We tried to take Penny out every 20 mintues even if she didn't have to go, and eventually she got the hang of it. I know this is tough since you live in an apartment, but it is worth it. I'm sure some of the other members can give you some good ideas as well!
Wlecome to the world of the dachshund! Patience and consitant outside visits! I am a hard one to ask this question, I have a doggy door and I had no problem with big dog's at all. George, my male long hair, has finially fully trained, or as potty traind as a dachshund ever is. :thinik: George is 11 month's now.. Grace is almost 6 month's now and she still has some problems, even with the doggy door! :dontknow: If the weather is bad, I still have mistakes. George used to sneak under the bed too! He stopped doing it.....Hang in there! You can replace the carpet, but can never replace those doxie kisses! :verdict:
