She went to California and she didn't even bring us a t-shirt! What is her deal?
We stayed at the doggie hotel in Mount Washington, which Karen says is really the Veterinary Center of Mount Washington. The bellhops all came out to meet us in their nice blue uniforms (kinda baggy, though) and first took us to the magic pedestal where we each got to stand until some numbers showed up on the little screen, with the letters "LBS" after them, whatever that means. Guinness' numbers were 6.6. My numbers were 16.4! Karen says that's a little too much, but my numbers used to be 24, so SHE'S happy! Merlin was 19 and Dr. Big Butt Leaky was 20! What's HIS deal? Too many treats?? Hmmmm???
Anyway, we had a lot of fun with the bellhops all week long. Then the house physician arrived and the next thing I know I'm getting sleepy and someone is scraping my teeth! I pretty much slept through it, and after I got to give the bellhop a smooch on the mouth (don't tell Karen I was two-timing her). Merlin also got the "twilight dental" treatment. Dr. Leaky, i turns out, has a heart murmmur, so he and Guinness will go to Dr. Spikloser, the vet.
Karen says she had a great time in California. Who cares? Oh, HER mom does, 'cause it was her 79th birthday. She gave Karen pictures of HER moher from the 1920's holding dachshunds! Who are they?? Family?? Are they coming to visit? Karen says they went to the bridge about 75 years ago. Which bridge? I could WALK to the Brooklyn bridge from Baltimore by now! Where is Rainbow? Karen says one day I'll meet them there, but she hopes not for many, many years. Dat sounds okey-dokey to ME, as long as I keep getting treats and belly rubs and lots of snuggle time.
I'll write more later. It's good to be home!
Roscoe, the Handsome One. :rescue:
Glad to hear that you are all home and that you all had a "good time"! Sarge & Looie
