Modem was the quiet one, she was the one that was welling to snuggle for hours. Molly has took up the roll, but is not as patient as Modem was. I miss her but am glad she is not suffering. The day it happened we were cooking in the kitchen and she starts coughing up blood, so we took her immediately to the vet. I had a strong feeling she would not be coming home. Our vet told us she had internal bleeding and kidney failure. It was the hardest decision I had to make to put her down. As I hugged her I told her "I am sorry girl, I know what I am doing" then the vet took her and she went to the backroom. They brought her back to us in a cardboard coffin and she is now in my backyard, and a rose bush marks the spot.
Sorry to hear about Modem..... :comfort: It just breaks my heart..... Sending you all lots of rays, prayers  and puppy kisses, in hope that you will soon heal.....

I don't know if you're ready for a little laugh, but when I saw the title of your post, I thought, "Poor dear, I hope she wasn't offline too long when her modem (small m) stopped working."
But Modem (with a capital M) will be missed by you and I hope your "modem" roses give you lots of loving memories.
