Boy oh boy, I'm not sure what's going on outside, but it sure is noisy!! i neber heard so much noise fwom dese hoomans afore! I can't figure out if dey are shooting each odder of what? :dontknow: All i know, is I keep hearing dese loud bangs and whistles, den I hear one of da hoomans laughing or yelling. Dis is weally fweakin me out!!!
My new house is too noisy!! :runaway: Da next door neighbors come and go all night long and ebery time dey open dere door, it sounds like a wobber coimng into my house! Okay, I'm a big boy now, but I had to sweep wif momma and dad ebery night since we moved here. I guess I'm a wimp or somefing. :dontknow: I sweep weally good during da day when all dose nasty hoomans are working and quiet.
How do I get used to all dis new noise and new smells??? I need advice fwom da older and wiser puppers. Fanks for you help!! :comfort:

I'm starting to get concerned about my little man. He hasn't been sleeping well at night and seems really anxious. how long do you think it will take him to adjust to our new house? We have lived in a really small town and then a peaceful lake since he was born, now we live in a busy part of town. He almost seems depressed. He doesn't want to play much, and he is very clingy to me and my husband. He hasn't even been naughty which is what really worried me. He has been eating and drinking fine, maybe I'm just paraniod, but he seems kinda bummed out and scared. :dontknow: Any ideas??
The fireworks our neighbors are shooting off are terrifying him. I'll be glad when they are done. He doesn't seem comfortable in our new house unless he is on my lap or my husband's lap. I was in tears last night because I hated seeing his sad little face peeking at me. is it possible he mises our cat?
Poor baby Porky. Take it easy, little man. Things will settle down. Just snuggle on your mama and you will feel better.
I have heard that it takes about 3 months for a pet to really get settled in to there new home,just bad timing being so close to the 4th most cities do not allow fire works to be shot off in town.You may try the calming medications Rescue Remedy their is also a wrap called an anxiety wrap for loud noises. Porky may not be sleeping exactly thinking some one is going to break in and he is not sure if he should bark or not.Know it maybe hard but try not to baby him too much it makes the anxiety worse try and just put forth a calm in charge front for him. If you are calm he will look to you for guidance try to keep the same routine dogs do not like change of routine.

The Rescue Remedy is a good suggestion. My boss's dalmatian is terrified of t-storms and fireworks. I suggested they give it to him and now everyone has a normal life no matter the weather or holiday.
Rescue remedy is a GREAT idea! Porky Pie....just remember that as long as your mama and daddy are there with you it will always be HOME! No matter what the sounds and smells are. Smooches to you sweet boy! Snuggle up tight with your mama tonight and before you know it you will LOVE it there!
