I took the Zs out last night for a walk. It was about 20 - 25 minutes and we covered about a 1/2 mile and with the heat and humidity, both were back with their tongues hanging. Imagine that the two escapees were out in that same weather for the course of many more hours and covered much longer distances. Yes, they probably won't wake up for some time. It may not be a bad idea for the vet to give them the once over just to make sure they didn't dehydrate or get into something while they were on their adventure.
I missed the whole post about them missing until about 8:30 last night and both were home by that time. I can't imagine what you were going through yesterday. Schatzi darted out the door once while we were packing the car to head for Nashville to visit Meghan. After about 30 minutes of searching, I was already thinking of how to tell Meg we wouldn't be there for at least one more day, etc. This was when she was getting ready to graduate, but I wasn't leaving until Schatzi was found. We finally found her, and of course she got praised for staying put once we spotted her. We just have to be so careful because she darts out so quickly.
I love the picture of them both sleeping. Wonder when they will decide to wake up again....Wonder if they realize their freedom has been really compromised now...That they will find out soon enough!
Oh my goodness....I haven't been on here much lately and I JUST FOUND OUT THAT MERLIN AND BEAU WERE MISSING!!! I am sooooo glad they are home and safe and sound!!! :apls: :apls:
