The wet head one is after he rolled in the grass in the rain. In the next shot, Fella likes to play with his toys lying on his back with the toy held between his paws. The rest are various cute shots of our new boy.
He is so handsome ! I love the first picture of him all wet!! You need to change your signature now to add his name to it!! :hello2:
Great photos - the shape of the face reminds me of my Irish Setter Rebecca. And Fella has definitely got the red coat! :headbang:

OMG, he's gorgeous! Refresh my memory...is he a rescue? If so, what was his story? I know you've already explained all this, but I've slept since and, *poof*...it's all gone!

Yes, Fella is a DRNA rescue. The woman who owned him gave him up when her elderly father moved into her home. Fella is a 35 lb bundle of energy, and he was just too much for the frail old man. We were going to foster him, but he found an adoptive home before he could be delivered to us. The new home didn't work out because they don't have a fenced yard and Fella refused to go potty on a leash. We were up to foster again, but Kevin and I realized we were only fooling ourselves when we offered to foster. We LOVE the standards, the bigger the better, and knew all along that we really wanted to adopt. So we filled out the application, paid the adoption fee, and surprised his rescuer by announcing we were keeping him. We didn't exactly blindside her though. She had been hinting that we were approved to adopt if we decided to keep him after fostering. All we did was skip the fostering step.
BTW, Fella loves our fenced yard and always potties outside like a good boy. Poopies are another matter.
He is such a handsome red boy! Do you play the song, "Longfellow Serenade" for him?

I wanted to! I had planned on it! Then we brought him home, only to discover that Longfellow Serenade isn't on our Neil Diamond CD. Major Bummer!
Congratulations Jeri! He is lovely. If you will email me, I will try to send you an mp3 of Longfellow Seranade. Give your new boy a skritch for me.
Zena (our redhead) Says that is the only way to play with toys. Unless you are chewing them.
