Title: Zelda 1/25/2002 to 6/19/2007
Post by: jillkilleen on June 20, 2007, 06:14:16 AM
We had to gently help our little Zelda over the bridge yesterday.  She was in final liver failure and started to have seizures the night before. I know we did the right thing, it just hurts so darn much.

My heart is breaking for you.  I am so sorry - you had so little time....but it is never enough.   You committed the final loving act that you could have done for your baby - by sending her to a pain free place where she will be watching over you and waiting to meet you at the Bridge.  Sending hugs to you.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Rest assured that Zelda is pain free and romping around, waiting for you at the Bridge.

Sending HHHH's & PPPP's to you on your loss of Zelda.  I know you did the right thing for her, just like I did for my Zelda, even though it is one of the hardest things to do. I hope my Zelda doesn't  :rescue: lead yours too far astray while she is waiting for you at the bridge.  :angel12:

So sorry. Only time will heal the pain. We have been there many times. We have lost 2 of our babies in 2 months. Making the decision is so hard, but also the most loving thing you can do. Prayers and hugs coming your way.

I know this is a little late in coming, but I wanted to send you my condolences on the loss of Zelda.

I know how hard it is when you realize that you only had a few years with her.  But to paraphrase T. S. Eliot, time spend with a dachshund in never time wasted.

Lovve,

Karen and The Herd
