She got caught up in her Safety belt (left front leg) on the way to mums and we did no realize it till we got there so she may have been in that position for two hours. When we got home we realized she triped on the stairs so I tiik her ti the vet, her left fore leg is sore and Stuart sys she is tender her mid back so she had a cartropin shot and cortisone in shoulder and spine and we go back for another cardtrophin next week. I asked about X-ray he said if she deteriorates to come back, but to keep her calm and no jumping etc. I know yesterday she jumped down from a chair an yelped, so I figure this is where she did it. It is the only place shecan get up on her own and she may have landed funny due to her shoulder and may have stressed her back.
Thank goodness she is not what you would calla full on person like her brother.

Rays and cuddles to Amy! Hope she recovers well! I remember when my "Max" was about 6 months old, he was running and chasing our two boys and he went to jump up on the couch and hit his lower jaw. Blood was everywear and they had to wire his jaw closed for awhile. He recovered well though! Keep us posted!

Ach, Roberta, I'm readin' your post and your typing makes it sound like a story from James Herriot's All Creatures Great and Small books. Are ye from the Yorkshire Dales, Scotland, or just a really bad typist?
Dr. "Angus McGuinness" Leaky
:angel4:
OH crud @#!*!! these dachshund back problems I HATE it. :(
So sorry Amy...no more jumping on and off furniture girlie! How is she doing today Roberta?
Karen my love I am Scottish...............I had been typing minus reading glasses....duh plus we had spent a week-end at my mums trying to decide on what house to build up there. I'll write a post to-night.
She is Ok,The vet had said just to keep her quiet. While we are at work she sleeps and does not move about anyway, and she uses piddle pads so no need to use the ramp at the back door. When home we are not allowing her to get excited and we carry her down the ramp etc. So I need the amounts of Gluco4%$%^ and ester C every one uses.
Dee Dee its sounds similar to Hallies back.
Roberta
I'm so glad she's still doing ok!! Yes it does sound very mild like Hallie's was. (it's been a year!!!) I'm sure Miss Amy will be just fine, they like to keep us on our toes. And she is probably enjoying the extra coddling. :thumb: (don't get any ideas Oliver!)
Keep us posted...
Have you been to Edinbrough? (did I spell that remotley right). My nephew just got back from University there as an exchange student in the Architectural program. He loved it, and he came home with an awesome ghost story!! :)
Rays and cuddles to Amy from Washington State!!
More rays heading Amy's way... and DD - you are going to share your nephew's Edinburgh ghost story, aye? My family tree includes Adairs, but I am not certain of their territory.
That spelling looks much more correct Julia LOL. I will email the story to you, I am using the one you have in your profile here, let me know if you don't get it...
Roberta keep us posted on wee Amy!!
