Rick needs some of your wonderful rays again! He was admitted to the hospital this morning, after we had been in emergency all night. He had a pain killer and anti-nausea shot at about 11 pm(we got there at 10 pm), and the anti-nausea part worked. Finally at 5 this morning, he had another pain shot and it worked. He can only have IVs - this is to let his pancreas rest - he DOES have pancreatitus! I am off to take a nap - my 3 25-minute catnaps curled up in two armchairs didn't cut it! :sad1: :sleepy2:
Rays for Rick :xfinger: and some ZZZZZ's for Julia :chairfall:.....and a pat for Brekke, just so she doesn't feel left out.
Hi Julia
Hope you are well rested and Rick is pain free!! HUGS and cuddles to Brekke from us too.
Take care

(http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/kao/otn/pangel3.gif) for you and Rick
Yesterday, he had an inguinal hernia repaired and a stint was put in his bile duct. I understand it is a straw-like thing. The passage was blocked. Today the stint was removed, he is back on the clear liquid diet, and if his bloodwork numbers are good, he'll get to come home tomorrow afternoon. Thank you for the rays! :thumb:
Julia,
We are so glad to here Rick is doing better. Sure hope he can come home tomorrow. Sending you tons od HHHHHH's & PPPPPPPP's.

Rays are on the way that he gets to come home tomorrow. Take care of yourself and him, but of course Brekke will be the perfect little nurse!
Dang Julia - you just can't catch a break ! Sending rays and prayers and hope he gets to come home tomorrow....
He's home, on a clear liquid diet, soft foods and bland tomorrow evening, and a checkup in 2 weeks with the surgeon who removed the stint. I misunderstood - he took out the stint from Rick's pancreas - the one we could see on his MRI back in April or May, and that everyone thought was cancer! We don't know when that stint was put in place. So now with the pancreatitus being a minor thing, and the stint removal being a major thing that took only a few minutes to remove - he should get well soon! Thank you for all those wonderful rays!!!! :bandaid:  :thumb:
