It starts with about 9 lbs of black short hair and ends with a tail wrapped around your......LAP.
Around these parts, this is what is known as a SITUATION. When THE Situation occurs, you cannot get up from where you sit, nor can you accomplish what you have set out to do for the day. Fun things like cleaning the house, laundry, grocery shopping, yardwork, etc. Yes, THE Situation forces you into one position for long periods of time, causing your legs to cramp and your hand to wear out from stroking the enticing fur. Your backside starts to tingle from long hours in a sedentary position.
Can one remove this Situation?
NO!
This would produce TRAUMA in the Situation. Causing such trauma would be counter-productive since the Situation would then need lots of pet therapy to overcome the traumatic removal from hooman's lap. What to do?????
LIVE WITH IT and COME TO TERMS that here ain't nothin' gonna git done today, except for lots of catching up on whatever you can do whilst the sleeping Situation lays sleeping and snoring the day away. SUGGESTION: Make sure good book is within arms reach.
LOL !!!! I have 2 of those lumps in my lap right now - luckily I have wireless so my laptop is sitting on top of a pillow that is on top of Rudy - HA !!!
Hope you got had a good book handy and had a restful week end with your "situation" !!! Give her a soft rub from me!
LOL! I like the sound of that situation! My four give a big :thumb:!
I love it. When I sit at the desktop computer, Schatzi drapes herself across my lap and often over one arm, making it quite difficult to type very efficiently. Also, anytime there is a person sitting still in the house, she WILL be wherever they are, and usually on top of them, or at least pressed close beside them.
I loved the part about the laptop on the pillow on top of Rudy. He probably loves it since the pillow will get warm from the laptop!
I, also, found a way to get NUTHIN' done this weekend. My coworker, a close friend of mine, finally decided to deliver her baby on Sunday morning. I had been invited to be part of this birthing experience (and keep her husband from hitting the floor if necessary). It was incredible! She gave birth to an 8 lb 10 oz little boy after only a few hours of labor (and since it was so quick, no time for an epidural). They got to the hospital at 6:45 a.m. and at 8:50 a.m. he was here. I'm just glad they didn't stay home any longer than they did! Needless to say, my head has been elsewhere since then and I've made a couple of trips to the hospital to check on everyone and see Evan Matthew. Since I have only nieces right now, it is great fun to have a little boy to dote on!
Yep - That was Drew and I today! We did absolutely nothing! We just hung out with Penny - I'll have to post a picture of her later zonked on the couch! So much for the to-do list...
