We're all okay now. I took the Zs in for the annual exam. To make things easier, I scheduled their vaccinations at the same time rather than have to bring them both back individually. When they administered the bordetella, the vet tech missed that Zora was allergic to the Lepto. Fortunately, they caught their mistake before I left. They immediately administered an intravenous steroid and then prescribed an antihistamine. Also, Zora had not started to react, so we caught it in time. The vet and vet tech apologized profusely. I think they could see I was both concerned and irritated.
Zora is fine now. Both her and Zeke and resting as they took quite a few vaccinations today.
Zora tipped the scales at 13.7, Zeke at 15.2, which is pretty good for both of them. The vet commented that Zeke's fur is beginning to grow back (he was nearly bald when I first got him). Both were perfect little patients for the vet, not even flinching when getting poked with needles or getting their toes chopped. Heck, Zeke rolled over onto his side to let them chop his toes. Zeke was so excited that he couldn't eat his well-deserved treat after the exam. It didn't matter, Zora not only ate hers, she made sure that Zeke's didn't go to waste either.
That is VERY scary - so glad it was caught before you got out the door.......I hope you got a discount !
Glad they are resting easy....nothing worse than starting off the week end with a vet visit....sounds like more treats are due !!!
LOL - smoochies to the kids -
Wow- that is scary!
I can't believe Zeke rolled over for a toe chop!
That IS scary! Dolly was highly allergic to the Lepto part of the shot. I may have sounded like a repetetive fool but I would tell the vet 2,3,4 etc times to NOT put Lepto in her DLPP shot.
Glad the Z's are fine. Rolling over to have toes chopped? Are you sure they didn't give Zeke a sedagive to do that?
