Title: Midnight vet visit
Post by: Marcia from MI on May 26, 2007, 06:40:23 AM
Really it was a 9:00 PM emergency vet visit, but Sam thought Midnight sounded more dramatic.  Late yesterday afternoon I had an appointment and when I returned home I saw blood on the sofa.  Checking out both dogs I saw blood on Sam's mouth so I scooped him up and rushed him to the Emergency Vet and he had to have a tooth pulled.  Apparently when he came into the house earlier in the evening he hit his mouth on the step and one of his incisors became loose and was bleeding.  After a 30 minute vet visit and 200.00 Sam was no worse for wear and is happy because he gets to eat wet food for the next couple of days.  And poor Eddie was crying his heart out when we came into the house He kept following me and couldn't wait for me to get Sam out of the carrier.   Both slept great last night curled up together.   And this morning Sam peed in bed; I needed a new comforter anyway.

Oh, no!  Poor Sam!  Eddie, you are such a good brother to worry about Sam so.    :bandaid:   I am sure you will find a great new comforter, Marcia.  Have you got a Kohl's close by you?  I found a great bed sack set - comforter. bedskirt, fitted & flat sheets. pillowcases, and shams for about $70 in a red, white, and blue plaid (was feeling so patriotic!) but there were other pretty ones, too.

Oh, I hate those late night vet visits!  So sorry that Sam hurt himself and lost a tooth.  I hope his sore mouth feels better soon!  Glad it wasn't anything more serious.

I'm so glad Sam's gonna be okay.  So scary, though.  I would have FREAKED if I saw blood.  Sam and Eddie, you are such good boys.

Glad to hear he is on the mend. My lot including husband usually do "THINGS" out of hours.
Sleep well to-night
