Title: Longfellow
Post by: Jeri on May 21, 2007, 11:21:23 AM
It looks like we will be fostering soon!  He is a young red long hair named Longfellow.  Longfellow, or Fella, weighs 35 pounds, exactly the same size as Archie.  You all know how I love the uberdachs!  I hope grumpy little Boone accepts the temp roommate.  His rescuer says that if Boone is too difficult that she will take find another foster for Fella.

You can see Longfellow on the DRNA web site http://www.drna.org/description.asp?DogID=1976

I heard he is being adopted. Are you adopting him?

I just got the word from his rescuer yesterday.  Fella received five adoption applications almost as soon as he was posted on the DRNA site.  We won't be getting him after all.

This is the second time that we agreed to foster and the dog was adopted before we could even pick him up.  It's good for the dogs, and we don't have to do any actual work, but you know what?  I'm still bummed.

It is great that Fella is getting a forever home, but not being able to foster him is really a letdown.  However, there is a plan in this great universe for a very special dog to come your way when the time is right.
