On Saturday Boone and I went to the monthly dachshund meet up. Kevin was working, and since Skeeter is uncomfortable going out and about without Daddy, she stayed home. Here are a couple of pics of Boone from the meet up. In the first one, he is with his buddy Brooke. Later, Boone found yet another lap. Doesn't he look self-satisfied?

Boone's profile reminds me of a photo of the famous collie Lad, owned and immortalized by Albert Payson Terhune. His epitaph reads:
LAD
THOROUGHBRED IN BODY AND SOUL
Very appropriate words for a champion like Boone!
Karen
:angel4: looks like he found a couple of friends, he is a stunner.

Priceless !!!! Looks like Boone was a hit !
He is SO handsome he must turn heads wherever he goes. He looks like such a sweet boy too. The top picture looks like a dapple doxie meetup LOL all 3 are dapples? And is that a little doxie muzzled nosie in the lower right?
He is such a beautiful boy!

Actually they were piebalds. There were for or five pies there, out of 30 odd dogs. Boone was the only double dapple. (and the handsomest IMHO)
Boone, what a snuggle bunny you are, sweet fella.
Boonie is so handsome....I think Zoe has fallen in love!!!
You have a beautiful boy! I just love the dapples!
Boone is an absolute DOLL!!!! I could just snuggle him for hours.... What a sweetie...
P.S. EmmyLou thinks you are quite handsome Boone...

Sorry Dee Dee, I totally missed your question about the muzzle. Yes, it is! There were a couple muzzled dachsies, and one or two others that perhaps should have been. Several DRNA people attend and bring their rescues, and sometimes they are there to work on socialization. It is not at all unusual to see a muzzled dachsie there.
