Our pair have their own bed next to my side of the bed, but we decided last night if they do wee wee'sat 6am we'd lift them up and have a sleep in. Amy is always a dear cover her with the doona (eiderdown) and wait for the snoring OLIVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I gave up after half an hour of see me, rub my tummy , can I roll on your pillow with you on it , cuddle me , then the stand on chest and look at you in the eye "whens breakfast". I thought Nick was going to nail him to the bed. So I still did not get a lie in, then after food while I sit and stitch HE has hte cheek to fall asleep and snore.
Roberta
Oliver here, Well who does'n t want ME, and besides we usually get breakie at 545AM
That's too funny. Chilie is like that sometimes. I'll wake up to little legs kicking me in the side because she's moving around in the bed trying to get comfortable. A lot of times Chilie starts out in the big bed and ends up in her own bed halfway through the night.
I guess doxies don't know the word weekend. Lucky for me, Chilie is a late sleeper!
. . .whereas the Herd's main goal in life is to spend 23 hours and 50 minutes a day asleep on my bed. The remaining 10 minutes are utilzed as follows:
3 two-minute potty breaks
four minutes to inhale food.
A tough life. Dr. Leaky spends more time writing his memoirs and it cuts into his snooze time!
:walk2: :walk2: :walk2: :walk2:
ROTFL!!!!
That makes for a GREAT visual. How could you not just melt at Ollie's antics even at that early hour LOL. And Amy so innocently snoring....
Thankfully Hallie and my sleeping hours are pretty well matched, (sometimes I stay in bed longer than I want waiting for her to rise and shine). If I do get woken up early for some reason, I just have to smile and cuddle her and think how nice I get an extra hour today to hug and stare at my little angel. :angel4:
Yep! They are creatures of habit...and the humans are there to serve!
Cocoa :angel4: was our alarm clock after many years of us getting up to go to work; wake up at 6:00 AM, take doxie out to pee, fix doxie breakfast, give doxie pills...and it didn't matter to Cocoa if it was the weekend. She didn't care. She would try the nuzzle. When that didn't work it was lick, lick, lick. And if that didn't work it was sit on mom's chest, nose to nose, then lick, lick, lick! Did I mention she didn't climb softly onto Mom's chest. Oh, no. Cocoa must jump on mom and land with a 4-doxie drill feet! Oof! Mom, mom, get up...feed me!
Now that Cocoa's gone, Patches seems more content to sleep in with the humans. I'm not going to question it!
