Title: Trouble Brewing
Post by: Ruth in MT on April 29, 2007, 09:33:39 AM
We live in M_O_N_T_A_N_A ....... BIG  M_O_N_T_A_N_A .............. But we live in a little trailer court in BIG M-O-N-T-A-N-A

I had permission from the manager to get Hilde.  BUT one of the neighbors has complained.  Yesterday two men were standing  outside  my fence .... both dogs were barking like crazy.  15 minutes later I received a call from the manager.......  :BangHead:
I wonder what will happen when they find out I really have 3 dogs .....Grrrrrrr

im having a similiar problem i live in a built up block i guess that whats you call it in america anyway in ireland we call it an estate if you know what i mean and we are only allowed one dog per house hold and i have 2 dachshunds and a poodle, i told them they would have to bring me to the highest court in the land for me to get rid of my dogs but i live in houses owned by the goverment if you signed a contract saying you would only have one day then i don't know what you are going to do. if dachshunds were quiet enough to hide but they are noisy wee buggers

what we did to stop the happy yappers was a tin with nails in it when they bark I shout NO BARK and shake like mad. Now all we have to do with they are noisy is get the tin out and putit on the front step.

I tried coins in a metal container  ...... it didn't  bother Mz eLlIe  one little bit !  As a matter of fact I think she barked more .... just to make me come into the yard with her.  Actually , it did work  .... she barked ... I came ....... I was trained !
I don't think eLlIe barks very much at all now ...... this neighbor tells everybody that  "that  dog barks all the time"   These neighbors are snowbirds ...Ariz. in the winter, MT in the summer.  They have been back here for just two weeks.   Two years ago he was outside washing windows with a squeege on a long pole.  eLlIe was barking at him (he was in HER yard  with a BIG stick) He chased her with the squeege ..... she remembers and has not forgiven him yet.

Well I cannot blame Miss Ellie a bit!  He chased her with the stick???????  Yeah...she can be mad.  I REALLY like the nice quiet dachsie in the picture!
Title: Has anybody noticed?
Post by: Ruth in MT on May 07, 2007, 05:42:17 PM
Has anybody noticed that our signature is back to "Ruth and eLlIe in Montana?
The neighbor complained so much that the manager said it would be better if I didn't keep Hilde. We did find a good home for Hilde and she now has a mini red smooth brother named Luther.  They even kept the appointment that I had made at the vet to have her spayed.
According to the manager the neighbor wants me to "get rid of" eLlIe too.  Let's not go there in this space. :argue:

Oh NO!! I'm so sorry Ruth - that is such a bummer. But that is great news that she has another good home! How is Ellie taking it?

I think eLlIe really misses her.  Hilde was not agressive but she did just take over everything.  It took two days before eLlIe would get back into her glider chair.

Sigh.......PEOPLE!  PEOPLE!  PEOPLE!  Sounds like this neighbor is EXTREMELY self centered and not friendly at all.  With that said, I hope Hilde's home is a good one.  Sounds like these folks are going to spoil her rotten.  Your neighbor?  GRRRRRR
