This is Brunhilda ! She seems to answer to Hilde
As of now the only problem seems to be that she has taken temporary possession of eLlIe's favorite chair.
She came to us from a friend of a friend of a friend ... seems young girl got Hilde in January ..... then boyfriend moved in and he doesn't like the dog and hits her :cussing:. She will be 2 in June. She is quite thin ... at least by eLlIe and Mama standards. This little girl has also had a puppy ... I don't know any of the story.
:apls: :apls: :apls: Oh my goodness Ruth, Hilde is beautiful.....she is so lucky to have you.....thank goodness you got her out of that bad situation!!!!! She is so sweet.....how is Ellie getting along with her? Bless you for taking Hilde. Lots of hugs and doggie kisses to Ellie and Hilde....what a nice looking family!!
Awww! What a cute red smooth - love the name! Luckily, it's pretty easy to put weight on a dachsie!
What a sweetie! Love the name. Bless you for taking her in.
Congratulations Ruth and Ellie !!! Hilde is gorgeous and bless you for helping her to find her forever home !!!! How do the girls get along? Can't wait for more pictures and many stories !!!!
Congratulations! I am so excited for you guys! How is Ellie liking her new sister?
Congratulations!!! What a beautiful little girl!
Brunhilda the Naughty is her registered name !?!?! She is a LOVE and what a difference a svelte body makes....... as she jumped on to the dinning room table !
We had a little problem when bed time came. eLlIe said "I get the big bed .... you can come up here if you want" .
After several trips outside , Hilde peed on the bedroom carpet then decided on the crate pad to sleep on .... :idea1: so I put her in the crate for the night. She curled right up and not a peep all night ...... then it was a mad rush for everybody to go out this morning. When I put breakfast down for them Hilde ate hers very quickly and soon as eLlIe left hers unfinished ,Hilde was right on it. I guess that is something we will have to figure out...... we didn't have any food instructions to go on , not even what kind of food she was used to. .... no likes and dislikes .... just something about "she gets fed once a day" (My list of instructions for eLlIe's babysitters could be several pages looooooong) Wish us luck ..... I was thinking about another dog but this was a sudden dogapult.
Congratulations to all three of you! Ellie....I just know your going to be the very BEST big sissie EVER!
Ruth....things like dinner and such will work out once she settles in. Toby was always the first one done and would go for the other's food. I suspect it was a result of being hungry all the time in his previous life. He still eats quickly but now seems to understand that there will be another meal! I used to give him a tiny treat after his meal if he left the other dogs eat in peace. Seems to have worked...that and a lot of praise!
God bless you for taking that sweet girl in. It's bound to have a few challenges but believe me...it pays off! Smooches to both of your girls and a big hug to you for being such an awesome mama!
Hilde is so sweet! I'm sure she will be very happy in her new home. I bet Ellie is telling her all about what a great mommy you are. I hope that the two of them get along well. Congratulations on your new addition!
She is a doll! Those pics don't make her look too thin, but her sweet face draws the attention so who's to say? I'm sure she'll love her new home and everyone will get along just fine!

Lots of luck to all of you.
In January my family and I took in a female and we don't know her situation and even though she's been here since January she's fitting in quite well.Just give her a little time they'll get used to each other.
Congratulations Ruth and Ellie! Hilde is smoochable sweet. Grrrrrr to her never-family but at least they had sense enough to surrender her. She's gonna fit right in and I bet Ellie is showing her the ropes already. Woohoo! :apls:
