Title: PennyCam UPDATE
Post by: Teresa on April 20, 2007, 02:42:01 PM
I had time to finally check on Penny and had to laugh when I saw her princess house! I see it is rainy there right now, and it looked like I could see Penny inside her house? Can she get inside there when it starts raining or do you have her inside today?

LOL - It was  really raining here today so we left her inside with her doggy door in so she can go out if she wants. I'm sure she doesn't go out at all if it is raining since she is sure she will melt! We have had to cover her house with plastic when it is raining because even though the Pennycam is waterproof some of the wires aren't so we ran them through her house. I'm glad you had time to check in on the Pennycam. Sorry there wasn't anything to see  :doah:! It is supposed to be nice next week so check back in and you will be able to see how well Penny's hair is growing back!

No new house yet - Drew was out of town for work for 2 weeks and recently got back.  So as a fixer he bought some really strong exopy and that is sufficing for now. He is still going to build her a new house but it will probably be a while since the need isn't urgent.

Her hair has really grown back and she seems to be doing well. We reduced the immune suppressant to every third day for 4 weeks and then they are going to take her off of everything and see how she does. I think that is in about 2 1/2 weeks. I'm really nervous to for that but will be interested to see how she does. She has been enjoing the sunny days we have had and been lounging in the sun . This weekend is supposed to be a rainy one so she'll be hiding inside.

FIngers crossed tight that Penny will do fine on her own! That's great she's doing so well now AND getting hair back. Get rid of that shaved reminder! She is certainly recouping in comfort! :thumb:

I had forgotten that Drew was going to build her a new house. That should be a special one for sure. We haven't had a lot of rain here. One or two days in the last week or so. We are all praying that the rain stays away from Nashville on May 4 and 5th. That is Meg's graduation and if it rains it will be held in the college gymnasium. If that happens she will only be able to have 3 guests attend. Since my parents and my brother and sister-in-law and niece are going up, we are really praying the rain stays away. They haven't had to have an indoor ceremony in at least 7 years so I hope this isn't the year it changes! I can handle the heat if I have to, just NO RAIN!!!
I'll check on Penny next week and check out the new hair!!

I FINALLY was able to get on watchpenny!  How cute!  At first, I was wondering if she was inside or out in her house, and then I saw her poke her head out and reposition.  For a little while her nose was sticking out, and now it looks like she's back inside her house.
