My dog Manny has had a warm&dry nose for the last couple of days.What should I worry about?Should I be contacting my vet or wait a couple of days?
Honestly, I couldn't tell you. Sorry. Porky's nose seems to do that periodically and I just make sure he gets extra water for a few days until his nose is wet again. His usually does it for two days at a time. :dontknow: Have you tried checking his temperature? I think if he is acting like he feels alright and is drinking and eating normally I wouldn't get too worried. Also if his temperature were normal i wouldn't worry. Maybe try calling your vet and asking about it before you take Manny in. My vet is always willing to answer questions over the phone and will do housecalls when needed.
I'd give the vet a call and ask. I know that my vet doesn't mind if I call to ask a question. If the vet is unavailable the people at the front desk have a technician talk to me. So for your peace of mind, give them a call. Is Manny acting OK otherwise? Let us know!
I agree with Patty. If you think this is out of the ordinary for your boy I would call the vet. My four are all different. The boys seem to get dry noses from time to time and absolutely nothing is wrong. Buelah gets a dry nose and guaranteed...she needs to see the vet. As for Baby Bea....not so sure...she seems to have a wet nose all the time. If it will reasure you...call. Let us know!
