I had just gotten home from a band job the previous evening in North Carolina. I went to grab a power nap on the couch. Zora had already comfortably nestled herself on me. Zeke, however, was on the carpet and wanted to get up with me. He began making his "I'm frustrated" sound, so I rolled over to scoop him up. At the same time, Zeke decided that he could jump up on the couch. The end result was a full speed collision between a large and very hard dachshund skull and my nose. I heard my cartilage snap, and I figured "Uh oh, broken nose".
When I went to look at myself in the mirror, it wasn't that bad, and actually the end result was quite remarkable. I had broken my nose a couple of times as a kid and my nose had a small, but distinct, slant towards the left side of my face. The impact with Zeke's head STRAIGHTENED OUT MY NOSE! There's still a little bit of a deviation at the nostrils, but from the point of impact upwards, it is straight. I can breathe easily through both nostrils now as my sceptum was deviated before Dr. Zeke's work.
Unfortunately, I don't think any insurance company will pick up Zeke's new found plastic surgery practice.
LOL! Oh my gosh - that is so funny! Well - glad it worked out for the best. Way to go Zeke!! :bandaid:
:chairfall: How funny! Glad you (or Zeke) weren't too badly.
Dr. Zeke and Dr. Beau Leaky should open their own practice together.
too funny!! Glad for the happy ending! OUCH!
That is really funny. Can we see before and after shots of your nose?
Wow!! Go Zeke!! That deviated septum surgery is VERY painful, so he saved you some major pain there. :2funny: I had to have surgery for that a few years ago, and they removed the splint to early and the septum deviated worse than before. :BangHead: That really is amazing that he straightened your nose. Pictures would be great, I agree with Patty. :apls:
OUCH ! Sounds like all came out ok though.....if you are able to breath ok !!!
Note to self: Put puppers on couch on one end - lay down on the other end and let them clinb on you and get settled..... LOL !
Drs. Leaky and Zeke - has a nice ring! :ambulance:
Maybe we could find a lawyer and chase a few ambulances. I'd like to retire early.
The Cayman Islands are supposed to be lovely! :toothy2:
BTW - ate two more books this week. One was a nibble, the other one had potenial, but my hooman caught me before I could really "sink my teeth" into it! :read2:
(Why is she not laughing?)
My goodness, you have a strange kind of luck, but it's luck alright! Hope it isn't too painful.
LOL I hope you aren't in pain from that but you sure gave me a laugh! One for the books. How is Zeke's head?
Wow! That is stranger science fiction than we were talking about in chat tonight! Hope your nose continues to be corrected properly, and that Dr. Zeke has no ill effects. :bandaid:  for both of you!

So you were seeing ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ's hahaha. I've just coped the head to under chin and that hurts, so I have sympathy for your poor nose.

My nose is still bruised today. Zeke is completely fine. He didn't even yelp when he impacted me, as he had done one time when he ran headlong into my leg when coming in from the outside. Zeke simply jumped up on the couch again while I was reeling with my nose and looked at my like "Why'd you do that?".
Zeke's brow is much deeper than Zora's so the brow ridge protrudes more, combined with his larger skull, and that most of his body weight is up front, made for a pretty strong impact.
WOW! that is funny, mostly because no one was seriously injured. I hope your nose heals quickly and remains straight!
 LOL!!! I can just picture the whole scene! You gave me a good laugh David!
Owwwww! .....but then I had to laugh... :2funny: Dr. Zeke really did a good job on you. How's your beak feeling now? Good boy, Zeke!
