Title: Kleine i s Home
Post by: Eileen on September 03, 2005, 06:32:36 PM
She is very wobbly...I expected her to be better than this.  I am grateful that she doesn't seem in pain, however.  She walks a few steps and pees and then her legs buckle and she falls down.  If I guide her legs for her, she walks farther to poo.  This is breaking my heart.  I'm in to $5000 from the vet and she is like this....  I will try and be patient and think postively, that's all I can do. That this is just going to take time and she will get better.  I tried to post a picture but it took my text away....I notice a lot of text is getting cut off...anyone know why?  Also, how to post the picture so the text doesn't get cut off?

Ack! I'm all teary for you Eileen. Sometimes these things take a ton of time to get better, it seems odd to me that she would get this at her age? Did she have any disc problems when she was younger? It can happen at any age certainly. We will all keep praying HARD for Kleine. At least she is home, she will heal faster there than anywhere else. Hang in there, and yes we will all think positive thoughts! I have seen so many times, dogs in a lot worse shape then Kleine, make a miraculous recovery!

Oh God Eileen, I am so very sorry that things aren't better.  I honestly don't know what to say or what I would feel if I was in your shoes.  I'm pretty sure I'd feel dispair, but I'd still do everything I could for my dog, and I know you will.  Like DD said, these things can take a lot of time.  And we all have heard many stories about dogs that were given no hope by the vet, only to have them make a complete 180 and get much better.  I'm glad Kleine is home, she will be better off surronded by the love in her own home than anywhere else.  What did the vet say?  Will there be a follow up appointment or what does he expect to happen next?  Its really good that Kleine doesn't seem to be in pain.  It make take some getting used to, and it may take a while for her to get her legs back under her.  How is her attitude, is she happy or depressed?  And please remember that if she doesn't make a complete comeback, a cart is not the end of the world.  The dogs using them don't seem to think they are any different from any other dog.  I'll keep you guys in my prayers.

Title: Barb...messages are cutting off....
Post by: Eileen on September 04, 2005, 12:29:32 PM
Here on my home computer, everyone's text is getting cut off on the end...I only get the first lines....if Patty hadn't posted my post in a quote, I couldn't even see the text in MY post.  Do you know what's happening and how to fix it?  Some of the messages have an up and down "slot" at the end where you can get to the rest of the message, but some don't.  Also, my cursor, when typing, is jumping up and down!  Help???  I couldn't read the rest of your post on my little girl, so if you get a chance to repost it so it doesn't get cut off, I'd appreciate it.

I'm so sorry little Kleine isn't improving faster.  I can just imagine your feelings of frustration.  Maybe now that she's home she will progress a little faster.  Please know my prayers are with you.

Poor little Kleine!  In the switch between message boards, I lost track of things and missed out on Kleine's problems.  we are so sad she is hurting, and sending rays and prayers that she recovers.
