Occasionally my engineer husband shows his more creative side. He is out of town and composed several Haiku and e-mailed them to me. OK, well the 3rd one isn't about dachshunds, but I liked it anyway. And the 4th one is not actually a haiku, although when I first received it I thought is was. Do you know why the 4th is not a haiku??
A pile of dachshunds
three breathing donuts sleeping
it was a long walk
Long in the middle
and just as tall either way;
laying or standing
Frog songs in the night
warm evenings are beginning
june bugs coming soon
My girl likes weinie dogs
pointed noses to wagging
tails just off the ground.
And here is the haiku my daughter wrote and framed for my Christmas present
Joey Bill and Ted
Three doggies who love you so,
Well I love you too!
Cute! And the fourth one has six syllables in the first line - although if it said,
"My girl likes dachshunds", it would work!
Cute. I must be out of touch :idiot: but I did not know what a Haiku was!! :dontknow: I must admit though that I love them :apls:.... Your husband is very creative.
Cute! I have a collection of several haiku poems written by people on this board. Will dig them out and post, they are a riot!

A haiku is three lines with 17 syllables divided into 5 in the first line, 7 in the second line and 5 in the third. The fourth has both the first and second line wrong, but it's still cute!
