You can feel every single hair on her body in these photos, DD.  And yes, I would have to say that the look she has on her face is "just humor her, let her have her fun, then maybe she will let me go to bed."
What kind of camera do you have????????????????????????????

LOL Patty, I could shoot all night with her but I only photograph her for 3-4 minutes at a time with lots of praise and treats so she doesn't learn to hate the camera coming out. She has a stuffed toy that looks just like her so I set that up first to get my exposure and settings right and am ready to go before I put her in the picture.

I have to take a deep breath before listing my camera equipment, it was quite a shock adding it all up this year for my taxes! LOL. (BUT it is paying for itself already).

I have different camera/lenses for different things. I think Canon does this on purpose, makes each lens pretty specific for what it does so it makes us buy lots of lenses!

I have the canon MKII body for action and outdoors. The canon 20D for portraits shots like this. I usually use the Tamron 28-75 2.8 lens for these portrait shots (I think this is the combo I used for the big red balls). I have the canon 85 1.8 and 200 1.8 lenses for indoor horse and dog shows. I have the canon 70-200 2.8, 300 2.8 and 400 5.6 lenses for ourdoor shots, birds in flight, running dachshunds, horse and dog events, etc. I also have the canon 1.4 and 2 teleconverters that add reach to some of these lenses. And various tripods, flashes, etc.

And the sad thing is...I think I "need" a couple more lenses yet! (and the new MKIII body which isn't available yet but I will sell my MKII to get it...) :)

Oh and these shots of Hallie and the red balls, are with my studio lights. I have three strobe lights, two with umbrellas on them, 9 foot backdrop behind her (used the white seamless paper here). You can see the shape of the umbrella as the strobe went off in the reflection of the ball and her eyes. I am getting the regular photo stuff down pretty good now but I have a ton to learn with the studio shots yet, and I just got a job doing a santa shoot at the dog training center here, in October. Eeks.

(that was a lot more than you wanted to know I'm sure LOL).

Roberta we were posting at the same time! Heh...she only had to sit through about 7 shots, I had a lot more plans for her but 9 oclock rolled around and she curled up in her bed.  She's usually good for about 20 shots before I feel like we should stop. I always try to stop while she still wants to do more so she looks forward to it. :)

Great pics! Do you have a vault for all that gear? Do you have to have a stevedore to carry your camera bag?  I'm keeping this list to show to Deb when she complains about me wanting another lens.
