We went to see Mannheim Steamroller in concert last Friday in Sioux Falls, SD. Since we were going to stay overnight after the concert and return home on Saturday, we decided to board Ozzy, as Amy was not going to be able to take care of him for us.
I took him to the place we last boarded him, and as soon as he saw one of the care-takers, he went nuts. He wanted OUT of my arms and into hers immediately. He immediately gave her kisses and didn't want ANYTHING to do with saying goodbye to me!
At first, I was a little hurt, but then, if he was so happy to be there, I should consider myself lucky we have a place like this to board him. He was pretty happy to see me when I picked him up, and when we got home, he made a beeline for our bedroom and "woke" hubby up.
This place has heated floors, TV, offers lots of one-on-one playtime, and two huge play areas (one for the big dogs, and one for the littler ones. They are master wildlife rehabilitators as well.
If you like the music of Mannheim Steamroller, you would LOVE their concerts. Lots of light-show and visuals action, along with very talented musicians. They will be coming out with a new Holiday CD this year. It was definitely well worth the drive.
Oh, and Ozzy had his rabies booster and well-dog checkup last week. He is in fine shape, just a little touch of dry skin, probably due to the weather. Ears, eyes, teeth, weight, and temperature were all normal. Now, if only we could do something about his breath! We've tried nearly everything and it is still bad!
You mentioned Ozzy's breath! You might want to possibly have his teeth checked.A month ago I took my dog Blusky in for a check up and he had a slight infection in his gums and had 7 teeth pulled. Now his breath is alot better.
Aww, that's great that he loves getting boarded! I know what you mean though, its hard to watch them be so excited to be with someone else!
