When I had Amy in the other day I asked what I could give her in her food to help. Zoe seemed to saay the R/d was enough, but she has always had problems going. So what do you think of giving her a little fish oil daily or is there any other suggestions.

Amy here, ever noticed guys that parents discuss our most intimate details on da web.
We have a red daxie that has a history of constipation problems. The vet suggested we add a tablespoon of canned pumpkin - not pumpkin pie mix but pure canned pumkin from any grocery store to her food. It seems to really help and we have added it to every meal for over a year. He said it's good for them and keeps them regular. She seems to really like it also.
I will try and boil and mash pumpkin as we don't get tins of it here.

Pumpkin works well... I freeze it (also cooked some down) and drop it by teaspoonsful onto a baking sheet and freeze. When totally frozen, I put as many as I can in a gallon zip-lock bag, store in the freezer, and then take one out and put it in the bowl about 1/2 hour before dinner. If I forget, there's always a 24-second thaw in the microwave!
I have heard that pumpkin works, but I think prunes work better. Give her a couple prunes with her food, then wait and see what happens in the next 12 hours. If no results, give her a couple more. Prunes are a natural product and won't mess her up. Good luck.
