Minna likes to curl up and take little naps in my lap. After she has been laying there for a while, I will pick her up, lay her on her back in my arms, hold her front paws and smell her little frito feeties. I always tell her that I love to smell her frito feet. This morning, I was watching TV and she was curled up in my lap, so I picked her up and cradled her on her back and before I could grab her front paws, she stuck them both up at my face like, "ok mom, smell my feet." It was too cute. :icon_flower:

That is so funny! My husband thinks I'm weird because I smell my little pups' paws. :idiot: I say "Time to harvest the mustiness!" (See my signature line at the bottom of all my posts, now people will understand!) Its that special smell only dachsies have, that gets stronger as they sleep due to body heat. Hound mustiness! :2funny:

I too like to sniff the frito feeties often. (Georgia, we think they smell like toasty warm frito corn chips.)
Gwennie lets me smell hers then tries to stick her tongue right up my nose, like she can taste what I'm sniffing.
That must be what it is. I could never put my finger on what that smell was similar to. No wonder I like it, I could live on Fritos if only they wouldn't go straight to my waistline. :doah: Oh well, the puppy paws are a better substitute!
What a sweet little girl! She knows she was lucky to land where she did. What a good girl.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who does it!!! I ALWAYS smell donuT's paws and when hubby first saw me doing it he thought I was crazy :idiot:.. but now he is as addicted as I am.
