I took these pictures on Sunday. Amazingly, I was able to get Jessica with Zeke and Zora in the same shot together. Jessica was fixated on watching a video, but if you notice, she is petting Zeke at the same time:

Zeke is very protective of Jessica and will stand guard over her. When she gets upset, he tries to come over and give her kisses, but that only seems to upset her more, so we have to tell Zeke to back down.
In the next picture, Jessica has vacated the couch leaving Zora and Zeke to snuggle. The little white spot on Zeke's snout is from where Rudy bit him when Zeke was 7 months old. When the wound healed, the fur grew back white.

Extreme close up of Zora & Zeke. I'd say the two of them are fairly close knit. What do you think?

Jessica is a very pretty little girl...... These pictures of the Zs are amazing....you can see the love they have for each other....Very Very Sweet. I think my desktop picture will change :thumb:
You'd better start teaching Jessica not to pass out your phone number now - don't wait until she's in school! She's such a cutie! Zeke and Zora snuggling is adorable - Zora has the same little triangle under her chin like Brekke does!
Those are really great pictures!
Those are great pictures! You really get to see the Zs features  and Jessica is so cute!
Isn't Zeke doing "The Neck Thingie" (as my son refers to it) where dogs show their ranking to each other by putting their neck over the neck of a lower ranked dog? Or is Zeke just using Zora as a really warm pillow? Either way, they are too cute for words!
Love your pictures! :thumb:

I don't think the "Neck Hug", as we refer to it, is a dominance thing, as Zora will put her neck over Zeke, and my first pair, Rudy & Max would put their necks on each other. I believe it is a sign of affection or reassurance to the other dogs in the pack. While Zeke is the dominant dog, I think the only reason his head is on top was that Zora was lying down first. It could have just as easily gone the other way.
I think it is great that the Z's are so good with Jessica. She will really enjoy growing up with them. The pictures are great and you can really see Zeke's color in them.
How is Jessica doing?
Such sweet kids! Jessica is just pretty as can be and what smoochable puppers the Zs are!

How is Jessica doing?
Hi Theresa! Thanks for asking. Jessica continues to make steady progress, although her development continues to be around 50 - 60% of what you would expect a child her age to be capable of. She receives a fairly intense regimen of programs: 23 hours per week through the County, an additional 8 hours per week through a pair of trained college students to work with her, and then three additional hours per week with a speech pathologist, a physical therapist and an occupational therapist (1 hour each). Jessica has a busier schedule at 3 1/2 years old than many adults. The regimen is working as we continue to see progress. Working through this is definitely going to be a long-haul proposition, and we're definitely hunkered down for the duration.
What cutie patooties!! Really enjoyed the pictures and the doxies! :thumb:
It's great that you have the college students to help out. It's great for them to get the experience and Jessica benefits, also. I'm amazed at all the programs that have become available recently and with more information being put out on the news about autism, the demand is going to increase. My co-worker's nephew has begun making great strides this school year. He is 6 now and has a wonderful teacher this year.
I love all the pictures- that is great that the Z's are good with Jessica!
Those pictures are just so sweet. Is Zeke a blue doxie? I havent seen one of those before. He sure is pretty.

Good eye Jamalucy! Zeke is, in fact, a blue/tan. His sire was a straight blue and his dam was a chocolate/tan like Zora. Zora is Zeke's half sister (same dam, different sires and from different, but consecutive, litters). Zora is the spitting image of her dam.
Great pictures! All three of your babies are just precious!
They are gorgeous! Love the pics!
