:BangHead: What's a pwincess to do??? My new brudder, Ransom, has decided dat he will jus come in and take over my WHOLE, ENTIRE hoofamily!!!!!! What is wif dat???? :cussing: I twied to get on my daddy's lap last night during movie time, and dere he was, right in da way!!!! My momma twied to cuddle me, but I was soooo danged mad dat I jus gibed her a lick and den went to the other couch and went to sleep..... :dontknow: I'm confused.... I mean, I twy to tell him that I am the pwincess and he should obey me, but den he jus does what he wants and when I twy to get on my daddy's lap, he GROWLS at me!!! ME? The PWINCESS??????? How dare he!!!! And, he sleeps under the puter desk at my momma's feet, den when I come in to cuddle my momma, he growls den too... But, my momma lets me sit on her lap at the puter..... :nana: I really need some doxie advice and ideas to show him who's da boss round here.... Any ideas???? :pray: Pwease let me know.... I hab eben bitten him once or twice, tryin to show him dat I'm the boss, but den I gets in trouble for bitin??? :dontknow: :confused: By the way, Beatrice, did ya gets your surgery yet??? I get mine on the 5th... But, dey are going to let me come home dat night if eberything goes good.... Maybe dey will keep my new brudder on Saturday when he goes for shots.... It has been my observation over the years of having little dogs vs bigger dogs maybe the princess should not get in trouble for bitting the pup she most likely does not draw blood a momma dog bites her own pups to teach them.There has been allot of times I had wished Patches would be more bossy with Buddy. I may be wrong but the pup will soon out grow the princess and if she cannot defend her self without getting into trouble he may take advantage of it of course being a heeler that means he will be a nipper anyway. He may try to heard the little princess all over the place that is what heelers do herd.

First of all, you got to remember, you are THE QUEEN! If he's a boy and you're a girl, don't be afraid to assert your alpha-ness. It is up to you to train the humans to respect your position in the pack (which is first canine alpha). Ransom needs to understand his role and the humans need to help establish it.
You should always get fed first. You get to be the first dog through the door. Remind the humans that doorways are important portals to dogs and humans go first, THEN YOU, then Ransom. He has to wait his turn.
My little Guinness, the twelve-year-old mini alpha, gets fed first. The others in The Herd have to sit and wait while his highness is fed first. Then they get their bowls. Guinness also gets to come in before the rest of The Herd. After he is in and settled on the bed, the rest get to come in.
Eventually, you will compromise and share some couch space, but remind the humans, you get first dibs. If that means Ransom has to get down, then he gets down until you are situated. He has to adapt to you, not you to him. It is the way of the pack. Be the princess you are. :thumb:
Hi Pwincess Emmy! Dis is Beatrice! I was wondrin where you been! :dontknow:
I was sposed to gets da surgery but den mama said dat since my gwamma is coming to meet me (she lives in Maine where der is dat SNOW). Anyway, mama rescheduled da surgery for next friday, on February 23 cuz den gwamma can watch me the next week when mama has to go to work. So far dat is TWO times she has rescheduled da surgery so I don't think dat I'm gonna get out of it dis time. I'll let you know how it goes. I am wishing dat I didn't hab to stay overnight but dat is da way my Dr. Marshall likes to do it an besides mama says dat I am gonna be WEALLY sleepy! :angel12:
I'm sorry dat yer new brudder is being bad to you. :eeew: Sometimes dat happens at my house to. Buelah got bossy to me fer awhile but now she is nice to me. I don't always like sharing my mama and daddy wif dem but I figured out dat if dey get cuddles and belly rubs and if I wait my turn (eben though I jump all around when I'm waiting) dat I will FINALLY be able to get my kisses an belly rubs and if I am da LAST pupper den I gets to stay on da lap for da longest time!
I also figured something else out Emmy! If yer mama is not paying attention to you , you should HIDE! Yep...just go somewhere dat she can't see you :confused: and pretty soon she will put da brother or da sissie down an she will come to find YOU! When she finds you she will be so happy to see you dat she will pick you up and you will gets all da kisses. :heart: I do it to my mama an it works EVERY time!
