Title: Dolly's back to being Dolly The Grub
Post by: Sandishooligans on January 18, 2007, 11:33:56 AM
Yes, her Royal Grubness is BAAAAACK!  She's back to running and seeing what's up at the faintest hint of food and is bouncing up and down the back steps with a spring.  The THING that hit took about 2-3 pounds off her.  THAT we are going to try to keep off.  She's looking quite svelte.  I'm sooooo relieved.  This is really the first time I thought we were going to lose her.  Happy days!  The Grub is back! :apls: :hello2:

Ahhhhhh man...my hair just blew back from the collective sigh of relief from the board! Great news Dolly!!  :hello2: We knew you were tough. :) I am sooo happy she's back to herself. One heck of a way to go on a diet though! :) So do you think it was the bones Sandy?

Yes, Dee.  I don't know how it could be anything but the bacteria laden bone.  Marrow bones are strictly off the menu for da grrrrls.  They'll have to settle for a bully stick once in awhile.  Speaking of bully sticks, does anyone know where you can get a good price on them?  They're so darned expensive at the petstores around here.

That is a good lesson for all of us, I don't give Hallie marrow bones anymore either, but I could see myself letting down my guard if the situation presented itself and letting her have one. I definitely wouldn't do that now.

I just looked on eBay for my favorite bully stick supplier and I can't find her! I wonder if she stopped selling. This sounds like a good one too though I will probably buy from this person once our current supply runs out. (Hallie is laying here right now chewing on a bully, she must have heard us talking LOL). You can usually get these a bit cheaper than in the stores and they are the nice thick ones not the skimpy ones. No additives, etc.

Brekke says she's glad Dollikins is feeling better!  (We are, too!)  Please ask Dolly and Maddie NOT to tell Brekke about marrow bones, because occasional scrambled eggies and giblets, plus a steak slice now & then, is the most spoiling she gets - besides lots of loving!

It appears marrow bones are off of everyone's list from now on.....I know mine will not be getting them anymore!!
