Alex here: I went to school last Saturday since Misty was having trouble with her back. Good thing mom switched us earlier in the week cuz Saturday morning Misty woke up hurting. Mom gave her some drugs and Misty had to take it easy all day. I had fun at school. I wasn't sure what to expect and I was just shaking with excitement. In my class there are 5 other dogs. One is an 8 month old female piebald doxie, and she is really cute. :heart: :heart: :heart:
There is also a HUGE german sherherd guy, 9 months old, and totally out of control, but he'll learn, thats why we're at school! Mom thought he was beautiful and that he would be quite the presence once he matures and learns some manners.
I really loved the constant treat flow at school. And all I had to do was L@@K at mom when she said my name! Heck, no problem, for all those bacon treats, even though they were little, itty, bitty pieces so that I wouldn't get an upset stomach or get FAT! I can't wait for our next class.
Congratulations on completing your first day of school. :thumb: I just know you will be the class valadictorian, you're that smart. No chasing after the cute little girl doxie. Have fun, but don't eat too many treats.

Sorry to hear Misty is still having some issues! Are you crating her? Might be a good idea for a couple weeks to let it heal so it won't go into something full blown? My heart sinks every time I hear of yet another one of our doxies having those dang problems. That's great Alex got to go to class though sounds like he had fun. I'm sure he was the cutest lil boy there! :heart: It's so fun to watch them when the lightbulb first comes on with something you have been teaching them. They really do look so proud of themselves.
I just got asked to teach competition obedience classes at the training center here. I am going to have to turn them down because I don't want to do anything Hallie can't do with me and if she were in the building watching Mom with other dogs, she would be totally apalled. There have been times in class when I would put her in her stroller for a few minutes while I helped someone with their dog and she'd be real quiet for a bit then suddenly there would be one loud BARK!!!! coming out of the stroller. (easily translated :)) We go to class on Wednesdays which she loves and did photography at a dog show this weekend, but she can be with me there.
I think it is so good for our dogs to learn and to socialize, it keeps their minds busy, they are such smart little dogs. That is cool too there is another doxie in class!
I'm glad that Alex had so much fun at class! How is Misty doing today? How is her back?

I sure hope Misty starts feelin' better real soon. Sore backs are NO fun. I know, cuz mine has been acting up for a month now. Sheesh! ENOUGH ALREADY!!

Alex, dis is Dolly. I know there are younger, livelier girlie girls out there in 'Laska, but I hope you will always save a little piece of your heart for me.
