Last night, we are all in bed. Randy has turned his light off and is snoring lightly. Molly has been snoring for awhile (not so lightly). Schatzi had been under the covers, right against my legs and keeping me a bit too warm, but I was being kind and tolerating her. Well, I'm reading my book and just using a booklight so as to not bother the sleeping husband, and Schatzi finally moves. She will usually get between us and maybe even up on one of the pillows. Not last night. I feel her climb up on my pillow, and then get really really close. Then she starts digging to get herself as close to my head as possible. Next, I hear that sweet little happy sigh she can make which means she is where she thinks she is going to stay. One I turned off my light, and turned over, I thought she might move a little, but NO-she is still right there and just looks at me. Then she wants to snuggle right up next to my face. I drew the line there. Of course she was playing the "let's be limp and make it difficult" game. Finally I tucked her up under my chin and held her close and she was content. Not sure how long she stayed there, but she wasn't far away from that spot this morning. Sometimes, I really wonder what goes through their little minds....
That is so cute! Penny has never been much of a snuggler.
That's so funny! That soundslike Cokie when we used to let her sleep on the bed. Its a game to see who can claim the pillows first. :funnyup: I wonder what goes on in their heads too. :idiot:
Those dachsie, they love to have human contact. When both of my girls are in the big bed, Dolly always claims her place with her butt smack in my armpit and then stretched out down my side. Maddie settles for the feet. When Dolly was sleeping in the laundry room this past week, Maddie immediately claimed the primo space under my arm. TOO CUTE.
Your post made me laugh.....it was soooo cute....my doxies love to snuggle.....When Winston is in bed, he will snuggle against my left side and usually stay there all night....but when I go to bed his head is by mine and when I wake up his butt is in my face!!!!....he turns completely around. Zoe settles in at our feet but sometimes when hubby gets up in the middle of the night...(he sleeps with two pillows), she will run up and get inbetween both pillows when he is gone....and when he comes back...I have to tell him where she is...lots of times she will stay inbetween the pillows even though he puts his head at the bottom of them....what little stinkers our dachsies are!!!!
Only two of mine sleep in the big bed. Bonita likes to sleep on top of the covers. Although there are times when she will get under the covers. Oscar has to sleep right next to Momma. He is such a Momma's boy. There are a few times when I awoke to have a doxie butt right by my head usually Oscar. That's when I just have to move him. He has the worst smelling gas. lol
