Well...tomorrow it is back to the office for me. My work has been allowing me to do my job at home since last week but tomorrow I have to start going back into the office. :crybaby2: At least I get to watch her on the Penny Cam! My mom will be here with her tomorrow while I'm at work and then Drew will be home on Friday. He also has Monday off for MLK day. So we are set until next Tuesday when she will be two weeks post-op. We are hoping to make her pen a little bigger then and put potty pads in for her while I am at work. Fortunately I only work from 7 am to 1 pm so she won't be alone all day. I really would rather be with her...but have to work :angry7: !! I'm thankful that I was able to be with her while we started this drug therapy just to make sure that she didn't have any crazy reactions! Thanks again for all the support. You all will have to keep an eye on her for me and make sure she isn't doing anything naughty :nana2:
Ack, that will be hard for you! But at least we do have the Penny Cam to watch her on and you are really lucky to have your Mom to come watch her! That really is awesome it worked out so someone was able to be with her for the first 2 weeks. It will be easier too once she can graduate to the X Pen and have a little more freedom. How far is your work from home?

I only work 20 min away without traffic and about 45 if there is traffic so not that bad. She is starting to walk a lot better and not drag her feet so much (she still looks drunk), so by next week we should be able to make her x pen bigger and she can go potty on the pads. :hello2:

Everyday she should be a little better. And sometimes I think they get more rest when we are not there. From watching Penny on the cam, she seems to snooze most of the morning. Its hard leaving them though, when we have to go back to work. I'm sure you will get a lot of peace of mind from seeing her on the cam. Hang in there mom.
How hard to have to go back to work..... I haven't been able to check in much today - but each time, other than just now, she has been sleeping. You will probably get home and she will be snoozing !!!!
Are you able to have the webcam on all the time at work? Also - when is her followup with the surgeon to see if the meds are helping her?
Wonder if we should get your work e-mail or phone number in case we see Penny being naughty and need to let you know ?!?!?!?!?!!? Or just for precaution sake?

What a day!! It has been crazy! I just got home and my mom said she did good. She hasn't wanted mucht to drink today but other than that she did okay. My mom said she cried a bit but seemed to settle down! I was able to have the camera on all the time at work (I check with our IT just to make sure I wouldn't get in trouble) so that was nice! I will talk with the doctors on the phone next week and then she will go on on Monday the 29th at 10:30 am PST. I should probably give someone my cell in case she is naughty or not doing good...just in case :wink:!
I'm glad she did well today and that you get to check on her from work. You could always take a poll here and see who watches her the most during the day. I have an idea of who it might be, but I'm keeping my guess quiet for now :grin:

not me, I'm at work all day myself, at least for 3 days of the week...And you can't look at the computer while cleaning teeth!

I am pretty bad - I pop in quite a few times a day !!!! I can't keep it on very long - but like to see she is resting !
I pop in from time to time through out the day as well. It's so nice to see her all snuggled up in her fleecy blanket!
LOL Teresa.....I imagine your patients would not appreciate you to much if you just stopped mid-cleaning to check on sweet Penny!
now that I think of it, we have computers in our operatories and internet access in the office. I even think its in my room? Could Penny become my screen saver? Or, better yet- we have a flat screen TV that is over the patient when they are laying back. I can put whatever is on the computer screen on the TV (so they can be shown things on their xrays, etc.-I love working for a high-tech dentist!);I could just let the patients watch Penny, too!!!
