Title: Stinky Penny
Post by: Kari on January 09, 2007, 06:06:39 PM
I love Penny to death, but she has ben super stinky today. :eeew: She has managed to smell up the enitre living room this afternoon :fart: All the drugs are having an impact on her poor tummy. We have her on pepcid to help with the prednisone. Hopefully this will even out over time.  :xfinger:

Poor Penny. Poor Mom and Dad! Bath and Body Works has some great Plug in products that smell great. They were on sale last week. Too bad they aren't on sale now, 'cause they would sure be nice to have around. Hope it all gets better soon.

Oh man Teresa, when you said a plug in product, for a minute there I thought you were talking about for Penny's hiney!  :buns:

I was going to say, "Poor Penny" but I think "Poor Kari and Drew" is more appropriate for this one! Lets hope her little constitution settles down soon and she gets back to being odor-free!

Well, at first, I thought you meant she was getting a little ripe because she wasn't able to have a bath, but then I realized you meant noxious green clouds  - doncha hate that particular medical side-effect?  Have you got any scented candles?  How about heating a potpourri of apples, orages, cinnamon, and cloves on the stove?    Good luck with the stinky stuff!

That's a good one Dee Dee. That's what happens when its late and I can't think of the name of a product. I just give a description. They are called Wallflowers, so at least now you know they are only for the walls and not poor Penny, who is probably oblivious to the change she is causing in the atmosphere around her.

Awwww poor Penny - her tummy must be in turmoil......LOL - at the thought.  I don't think Rudy ever makes a stinky - but Brandy can clear a room with the best of them !!!!

Here is to a less stinky day in San Diego !

Oh dear!  I can completely relate to that particular agony!  When Toby was sick he was taking all sorts of meds that caused the same problem.  Not fun for the hoomans that's for sure!
LOL DeeDee....I just spit coffee all over my desk!
I sure hope that Penny's tummy gets back to normal soon!

I know exactly the stink you are talking about, from those black tar poopies that are a side effect of the drugs.  Yuck!
Speaking of Bath and Body Works.................I just used a gift card I received and I bought a scented oil thingy that is fantastic.  Its called "The Perfect Christmas Home Fragrance Oil Warmer Set."  And by the way, I just looked it up so I could post the link and the little stinker (pun intended) is now on sale for HALF PRICE!  Our house is big and tall and open inside.  We have a vaulted ceiling that is 22' high.  Anyway, it comes with two oils - Spice and Tree - and when I lit the warmer downstairs, within a minute I could smell the oil upstairs.  Its the best oil diffuser I have ever seen.

I saw those in the store, but so much other stuff was on sale, I didn't get one! Glad to know they have them on sale online still! I'm impressed they have their stores in Alaska! Nice to know that not everyone leaves you out!

TERESA!!!  Alaska is not on the moon, ya know!  LOL!  Just messing with you.  Most people are completely amazed when they fly into Anchorage.  Its a real city!!!  Restaurants, theaters, opera, malls, traffic jams, moose in the middle of downtown, mall kinds of stuff.  Even a six-lane highway, woooo-hoooooo!!!  Anchorage is like a small Seattle.  Anchorage is actually too city-fied for me, that is why I moved to "the valley" -- Wasilla, 40 miles north of Anchorage.  Actually we do not have a Bath and Body Works in Anchorage, I ordered online.  (And I just bought the last two warmers they had, sorry.  I wanted to get 4 of them, for my sisters for next Christmas.)
Here's a picture of Anchorage in the winter time.  The place buzzes with activity, to ward off cabin fever.  Summer activity is worse, with lots of tourists and stuff to do and see.

Anchorage, Alaska
Looks a bit cold and bleak, doesn't it?  Brrrrrr.......minus 6 at the moment.

Poor Penny Pants. Is it any better today? Is she still pooin' and peein' normal?

I'm glad you didn't mistake Teresa's suggestion like I did or Penny would be adding humiliation to her list of indignities this week.

She has been a little less stinky this morning - she pooped twice so that was good. She is drinking a lot so she is also peeing a lot. Penny said that she has had enough things stuck in her rear! Poor thing has had her temp taken more than 7 times in the last three weeks!

That is great she is "moving things along" by herself!  :hello2: Glad she is a little less stinky too!

Ooooph that is a lot of temp taking in a week for little Penny! Hallie says she has empathy, when she had her anal sac problems this summer, I ran her to 4 vets in one day, she too got tired of seeing that glove come out.

She does actually need a bath! She has musty smell and vet/surgical smell to her too!

Those doggie wipes from Target are good, to give her a quick freshening up.  They hve been a god send lately, as poor Cookie as peed on her legs a couple times (since she can't walk), and I use them to wipe her up.

I really do know that Anchorage is quite popular, just love giving you a hard time. It is funny that you DON'T have a Bath and Body Works there after all. Oh well, I thought they might not have left you out. Whenever Randy and I visit Alaska, our plan is to fly into Anchorage. We had hoped for this summer, but it may have to wait a year. We hadn't thought about Meghan graduating this year and she really wants to do a family trip somewhere. We really want to save Alaska for ourselves right now. We are thinking about Seattle for her though.  I love the pic of Anchorage!

Baby wipes work well too.  That's what I use(d) on Cajsa when she just needed a quick freshen up.

I think at this point only a bath is going to do any good  She is pretty high on the stink-o-meter!
