:occasion16: Happy Birthday Willy!   :occasion18:  Happy Birthday Alex!  What handsome boys you are!  Patty.... I just love the first picture of the boys.  Were they littermates?  I have said this before but I honestly don't know how you tell them apart!   :dontknow:

Willy and Alex are littermates.  They came from a litter of six.  Mom was a black and tan smoothie and Dad was a silver dapple smoothie.  There were three male black and tan boys and one silver dapple boy, and two silver dapple girls.  Telling Willy and Alex apart is getting easier.  Willy is whiter in the face than Alex, due to his being so ornery I think.  Willy has a very boney spine, whereas Alex is more soft and pudgy.  Funny thing, though, Alex weighs just a little less than Willy.  When they were younger we could tell them apart by the one little white hair that Alex had below one eye.  We have mixed them up in the past, but not so much anymore.  They definitely have different barks.  Willy is a real loud mouth with a sharp bark, and Alex is more of a roo-roo talker.

This morning I was stopped at the light in Anchorage on one of the main 6-lane highways, and a moose slowly walked across the street in the crosswalk.  Only in Alaska.............

Wishing our two pals from the original Weiner Writings Puppy Class of '98 a very happy barkday, with many, many, many more happy barkdays to come.

The class of '98 was a great one, with a few friends that we haven't heard from in a while, such as Stevie & Clapton, Mickey and Andy Rooney (the Potato Hounds) and Jadzia & Dax (where are you?).  So hard to believe that it's been nine years already.  Where does the time go?

Ack!  I somehow didn't post to this!  I hope you had a very happy barkday, boys, and that you got lots of treats for your 9th birthday!  Did you get any scrambled eggies?  An inquiring Brekke wants to know!
