Well the vet called me and said all of Berman's blood work came back normal - there was no sign of anything that would trigger seizures. He also said his liver and kidneys looked good in case Berman eventually has to get on seizure medicine. Thanks for all the rays and prayers!
Oh yeah - Berman is completely back to his onery self - trying to dive from the couch into the Christmas tree where he spotted some of his gifts! Oh - and Lucy completely destuffed and desqueaked Santa - sorry kiddos!

"We're not brats!"
Of course your aren't brats......your DOXIES !!!!!
Glad the report came out normal - I am sure you will be watching him like a hawk now !!!! Good idea to write down what was happening when this happened and any strange behaviour he may have in the future.
Way to go Berman !
Berman you are just too smoochable! I love that "look" you have in all of your pictures!
Glad all of your tests are good!
Do you have Christmas lights on your tree? the reason I ask is sometimes in people with seizures lights can bring on a seizure a strobe type light would be one type of light that might bring on a seizure. When did Berman's seizures start has he always had them or is this something new.

yes - there are lights on the tree, but they aren't flashing. Berman's only had the one seizure on Saturday night - hopefully his last too. I think I feel a little better knowing that seizures aren't that uncommon and I hopefully will know what to do if it happens again.
Just got a e-mail from a friend she has Miniature Pincher's the female is about 2 years old she recently had a seizure her first, a very mild one but a seizure. She took the dog to her vet the vet told her it was not UN common for toy dogs to have seizures that all toys usually have at least one seizure in their life times??? I thought that was stretching it a bit but I'm not a vet, just thought I would pass it on. I have never heard of that before if it were so would think it would be in all the breed books on toy dogs?Of course some breeders would not ever say their line had any problems.

I'm so glad Berman is feeling good again and nothing showed up in the blood work! Lets just hope he doesn't have any more!
Papbouv I have heard that same thing that most small dogs will have at least one seizure in their life. I agree with you, that seems unrealistic to me! I also heard that all of them do, only often you don't know it because they might have it when you are at work or what not. Which makes no sense...if the owner doesn't know they had a seizure than how could whoever is gathering this data know they had a seizure. But it does sound like it's unfortunately not all that uncommon.
