Brooklynn Grace was born 12/12/06 at 12:53pm. She tipped the scales at 7 lb 8 oz and measured 21 inches long. Our labor was speedy and easy but the actual delivery was complicated. Brooklynn is perfectly healthy, and I'll recover so that is what really matters.
Rudy thinks she is his puppy. He is not jealous of her, rather he is extremely concerned about any little noise she makes and watches you like a hawk when you hold her. If given the chance, he gets up close to her and gently licks the very tip of her head. I seriously thought he'd be super jealous and try and get on my lap even if she was in it, but no - he'd rather check out Brooklynn. Roscoe is oblivious, except that mommy's lap is occupied most of the time and his feeding schedule is not always as timely. Gwen is relatively calm about the new arrival unless the crying gets loud and prolonged. Then she barks. She prefers to try and lick Brooklynn's toes.
A few pictures are below....
Thanks for all your kind words, thoughts and prayers!

She is just adorable !!! I love that the puppers are accepting her - especially Rudy - you were worried about him and he sounds like he will be her #1 protector !!!! Take care of you and get better - sorry it was rough.

I was so happy to see your post Krista! Brooklynn is absolutely perfect! How blessed you all are! I'm so glad to hear that everyone is settling in and the puppers are adjusting to the new hoosissy.
Take care of you honey.....and again...many many congratulations!
Awwww! What a sweetie pie. Congratulations and I'm glad the dachsies seem unmiffed by the new hooman.
How cute! Enjoy every moment of it...they grow up so fast. It's hard to believe our daughter is already 3.
Rudy will become acclimated to the noises. When we first brought Jessica home, Rudy & Max would jump at every noise she made. Soon they were completely oblivious to all but the most prolonged of cries. They know that this is a "hooman puppy" and it is very significant, so they will treat Brooklynn with respect, even allowing her to do things no other hooman could get away with.
Congratulations, Krista. Gives me tingles knowing I'll be in same situation next summer.
Krista she is a little doll! Congratulations. Love the photos thanks for posting. I'm glad the doxie siblings have accepted her so quickly.
Congratulations Krista! She is beautiful!
