I was cooking the dogs up some chicken livers to go in their homemade dog treats this morning did not realize the fire under the pan was quite that high. Was in the bedroom forgot about the Chicken Livers Patches was on the water bed behind me. I turn around to see what she is doing she is sniffing the air like crazy nose pointed to wards the kitchen.I jump up to go check the chicken livers sure enough starting to burn on the bottom. Now the house stinks sure hope the smell is gone before my husband gets home he does not like Liver of any kind.Got some candles going and sprayed air freshener. Now Patches barking at the candles, told her she should have barked when her Chicken Livers were starting to burn. She did save most of them so that is a plus I can still use the ones that were on top mix in the other meats should be fine for treats. She a very alert little dog she just did not want her treats burning I guess, Patches saves the day & stopped a possible fire in the kitchen.

Good girl Patches! Now there is a real service dog at work! :thumb: She is SO pretty, her hair looks so soft what a sweetheart!
Hey Patches, dis is Oscy. Nice save on da livers! My mama tends to forget things a LOT! I'm ALWAYS barking at her to finish up the cooking before it's all burned.
My daddy says that mama can do really BAD things to a perfectly good piece of meat. Course, we don't mind dat so much cuz when she overcooks da supper we puppers are MORE den happy to take it off his hands.
LOL Terri years ago when I had my Jessie (standard red longhair) I showed her in obedience too and I had cooked up some liver for her to use at training treats. She was a typical doxie who thought only of food and would eat anything. We were in class and I handed her a piece of liver, she dropped it and started to roll on it but wouldn't eat it!
