Title: Anybody brave the stores this weekend?
Post by: Beth on November 27, 2006, 09:23:06 AM
We didn't, but my sister did.  She and her husband got up at 4:00am to make it to Kohl's by 5:00.  She said when they got there, the parking lot was as packed as if it were 1:00 on a Saturday afternoon!  They did get some good deals, though.

Anyone else make out on some great shopping deals?

I only ventiured to Kmart because I had to for work, but the store was not crowded, but really great bargain.  Today, now that the kids are back to school the moms are shopping and most parking lots are crowded.

My hubby couldn't sleep thanks to me, so he was at Sears by about 4:15am and was one of the first few in the door when they opened at 5:00.  He got some drill thing and tires for my jeep and was back home with breakfast for me by 7:30.  We decided to hit Kohl's after eating.  I guess we got to Kohl's about 8:15 and it was definitely a mad house in there.  I only shopped at the jewelry counter, so it wasn't too terrible, but you had to take a number and wait for it to be called in order to be helped.  I did get a good deal on a necklace I've had my eye on though, so it was worth it.  I skipped the rest of the store because it was just too busy.

We went to Walmart about 7:00pm Friday night for a few necessities and it wasn't bad at all.  I guess everyone was out to dinner or had better things to do by then.

Were you guys in Dayton last weekend?
