Know Gizmo is not a Doxie she is a Papillon she is 14 years old today this is her first birthday I did not give her a Yapple ball.She use to LOVE her Yapple Ball would carry it around all the time,go to sleep with it in her mouth and wear you out wanting you to throw it for her. Sorta sad she has not been interested in her ball for many months but guess that is just old age about all she is interested in is her Daddy(husband) and food. She got extra petting and a tiny bit of her favorite treats today thats about all I knew to do for her boy when she was young if in the backyard she would spin in a circle then race after her ball. Sure wish I had it on video it was unique for a dog to do that.Sorry I going on about little Gizmo guess I'm sad because she loved her ball so much those Yapple Balls got harder & harder to find to buy it was the ball with the hole in the middle. Gizmo has a tiny mouth so that was the only ball she could pick up & carry around.Thanks for listening about my going on & on about my little old lady.

Those 14 years go by far too fast don't they. I keep crossing paths with Papillons and even owned one for a short time, my cousin has 2 (I helped her find both) and I have a good friend who raises and shows them. It has to be really hard for you to see her slowing down, they are such active little dogs. I've never heard of a yapple ball but it sounds perfect for little mouths! I'll bet she is adorable, we hope she has a wonderful birthday and many more to come!

To make it to 14, she's had a very good life. It is sad, though, to see the changes over the years. There is something special about an elderly doggie - I just love those gray faces!
Yapple Balls were very popular some years back it is a rubber ball with a hole in the middle Gizmo has a tiny mouth most she has ever weighed about 8 # now about 7# 6 oz. anyway she would stick her mouth in the hole with the top part of her mouth on top of the ball & her lower jaw in the hole???Use to be able to find them about everywhere now have to get on line put Yapple Ball in the search area and look & look. When I would find them I would buy about 6 at a time and keep them put up when went to Ball heaven would get another out. She use to drive me crazy because the balls came in yellow,ed,blue & green if she got stuck on a color she would look & look for that color??? Use to have a real bad habit of putting the ball behind my husband feet. She would try to get him to play ball with her he never looked down always stepping on the ball would get mad.I would always tell him she has been doing that for years look where you are going.Men are sometimes something else they really do come from a different planet.
