Title: a visitor in chat last night (10/28)
Post by: Brekkesmom on October 29, 2006, 09:08:24 AM
Dee (Sarge & Looie's mama) hadn't been gone very long, and Auntydoxzz had already joined Merion and me, when we had a new poster in chat last night.  For you newcomers, our old chat was called "doxie writings"and to Europeans, a doxy is a lady of the evening.  We've had a few join us, looking for that - and were they disappointed we were dog owners!  Anyhow, Eugene is a college student in Oz, and he goes to university in New South Wales.  He works as a bellhop in some hotel for about 35 cents an hour, plus tips.  He came in last night, thinking we were Germans from Wiener... We had a good time and chatted with him for a while, commiserating over the loss of Steve Irwin, and the racecar driver's death which closely followed, and enjoying Bindi Irwin stepping up to the plate.

Hey - where were the rest of you (unless you were on before I got in)?  A few years back, on the old chat, we had an hysterical time on or just before Halloween, becasue we were all changing our nicknames, and then trying to remember who everyone was!

Roberta - I think it'll be early Sunday afternoon for you.  We usually begin at 9 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Pacific time, on Saturdays,  and when I chat with my dachsie friend, Pauline (south of Sydney about 100km), on my Sunday evenings, she usually is in at about  lunchtime Mondays...

Rats.  Sorry I missed the fun.  I was out scoping out the band's next venue with the drummer.

LOLOL that was a hoot the night when we all changed our nick's!!!!  I think it was after that I started keeping my spreadsheet so I could remember who was who.  And back in the days of "butter my butt and call me a biscuit", but I won't tell who had THAT on their sign off...

I went in about 8:30 pm CST.  Terri stopped in for a few min. Then Julia and Dee showed up and Aunty showed up about 10pm CST.
