1. Well, woke up this morning and was in a good mood. I checked my email for school and found a message from my professor. Thought nothing of it and opened it. His message was to inform me that he thinks my account was hacked again!!! So..I went through the changing password and user name thing, yet again... and went on with my day.
2.My husband started a fire in our wood stove an hour later and left to go get his paycheck. 20 mins later our house was full of smoke, there was black smoke rolling out the chimney and smoke pouring out the sides of the door on the stove. I grabbed Porky, went outside and called my husband. He came home and got the problem fixed. And our house was just fine. Apparently the wind downdrafted through the chimney.
3.At about 1 this afternoon, our phone rang. My husband's boss for his new job was on the line. He informed my husband that he wouldn't be able to start his training next week like originally planned. He said he has no idea what happened, but the agency in charge of the background checks said my hubby is not hire able based on the results. he has no criminal record, and no drug or alcohol use so we are confused what is going on. We contacted the background check company and they said, we can only tell you through an email. We will send it right now and you should have it in fifteen minutes. It is now nearly 5 pm and we still have no email!! We have called four times and keep getting told the same thing. :cussing: :BangHead:. So...basically my hubby and I are sitting here wondering what to do.
They say bad luck comes in threes. Well we have four so does that mean we have two more coming? ??? Im honsetly not sure how much more stress i can take this week!! Sorry for the long post. Just needed to get this stuff off my chest! Thanks for supporting me.
Sounds like you have had your day of three's!! In regard to the background check -- we do background checks on our employees also. There should be an appeal process. Sometimes what our applicants have run into is they have the same first, middle and last name and come up with a "hit" as we call it. In those cases, the applicant can do a fingerprint so that the correct name and background is identified and then they clear. Hang in there!!
