I’m a news junkie. I keep CNN on most of the day and when breaking news happens
I can’t tear myself away from the television. I’m also addicted to Amazon.com I purchase most of my books and DVD’s from there. Right now I’m waiting to purchase used copies of Will & Grace, The West Wing and Mad about You. I love to redecorate and spend a lot of time watching HGTV.
Also, when I was in New Orleans last August my one wish was to meet CNN’s adorable reporter Anderson Cooper. Well, Anderson and the rest of the CNN crew were staying at the same hotel I was, but we just kept missing each other so on my second day there I decided to just give up and went to lunch. When I got back the desk clerk called me over and handed me an envelope saying “Here this is for you from Anderson.” It seems he had come into the lobby a couple minutes after I left and the bellman had him write me a note. The next day I finally did get to meet him, twice " once outside the hotel where I politely told him I was disappointed in his Katrina Anniversary coverage (that didn’t go over too well) and again that night. My friend Sandy and I went to a reception for him and I tried to blend into the woodwork & avoid running into him, but unfortunately he saw me and came over to say hi. Then as my friend and I were walking away to the main reception area some guy grabbed my camera and took a picture of AC and me together " I have no idea who the guy was. The picture the guy took of Mr. Cooper and I is the only recent photo of mw that I have, but I can’t post it because there is a fan of Anderson Cooper’s out there who “borrows” pictures of Anderson, cuts you out and claims them as his own. So if you want to see me you’ll have to ask me to send you an invite to my Yahoo photo album on NOLA.
Happy POD, Marcia! I knew you liked Saturns, too, but I was surprised about the Saturn Sky. Isn't New Orleans great? Did you get to eat at Irene's (Italian Restaurant), NOLA, or The Court of the Three Sisters? We didn't try for dinner at Antoine's or breakfast at Brennan's. Did you go on a bayou or riverboat trip? (I even ate alligator!) How about the Aquarium of the Americas, or the Imax? I hope the boys spoil you rotten today!

I love the new Sky and Eddie says he wants sunglasses and a hat if we get it. I love NOLA and plan to go back next summer, but want to travel around the Gulf Coast. I ate at the Court of the 3 Sisters my first night there and at Cafe du Monde for breakfast on Sunday. I didn't get to the Aquarium or any other tourist places because my arthritis was so bad I couldn't get arond too well. I did take a tour of St Bernard Parish and the Lower Ninth since it was the 1st Anniversary of H Katrina. When I could get around I went around the FQ and talked to people and took pictures. The night we went to the reception for Anderson Antoine's had an open house and free food, but we didn't find out until the next day.
I made so many wonderful friends down there that next year I expect I'll visit them and tour the rest of NOLA.
So glad to see you here, Marcia! Your trip to New Orleans sounds like a blast! Great write up, lady.
