Porky here: Today was okay. This afternoon has been way better! Today momma took me to a new place with a nice lady and other dogs there. And then, she left me! :cussing: I was so mad i started shaking and crying. Then the lady held me and cuddled me and said we were gonna have fun. I was fine after that cause she left me play in the baf tub! And den she brought out this scary fing that shot air at me!! And it just got worse from there, I got toe chops and then she did somefing to my butt!!!! After we were done, she put me into a kennel and said good boy. She even gave the biggest cookie I've ever seen afterwards! :apls:
Momma was happy to see me when she came back. She said she was surprised to see me dancing in my kennel and talking wif the other dogs there. I tell ya i fink I wanna go there again!!! Usually momma gives me a baf and stuff but this was too much fun!!!! And when we got home, I put on my sweater and went outside. It started snowing and ten minutes later, the ground was covered with a light layer of snow! I am one happy dog!!! I even rolled in the snow till i found out it was cold!!! BRRRRR....
I was so proud of Porky today. It was his first trip to a groomer in his life. i thought he would be upset when we got back to pick him up because we had to leave him for two hours! I didn't think my doctor appointment would take that long. But, i saw his huge smile and barking right along with the other dogs. I asked his groomer is he had been doing that the whole time and she laughed and said they were having a great conversation. She said the Shihtzu would growl twice and bark once, and Porky would repeat it back. :2funny: We could tell she had been cracking up because she had tears rolling down her cheeks from laughing so hard.
I am so happy we are getting our first snow!!! Call me crazy but I love it!!! I have a tradition of making homemade hot coccoa and watching movies the night of the first snow. Or we sit with our coccoa and watch the snow fall out the window. Hope you all had a great day also!!! :grin:

Good boy, Porky! Wow! My grrrrls do not like the groomer at all, although they don't snarl or bite. Just lots of shaking and always ready to head out the door when we're done.

Did your mum have to dig a place for you in the snow to (ya know), do your business. The snow gets so deep here in NY that mum has to do that for me 'cause my little belly drags in it and my short little legs just sing to it and I can't get no where really fast.
Porky, dis is Chilie here. You mean to tell me you PLAYED in da baff and LIKED it?!? Oh my! When my mommy gives me a baff, I just sit dere and look pitiful. I tolerate a baff every once in a while, but it's not my favorite thing. And last night I heard my daddy telling my mommy dat I'm stinky....den she mentioned da B word! :crazyeyes:
I'm glad you had fun though, even though you had to get a bunch of icky stuff done to you. And I hope you let dat Shihtzu know who's boss! :thumb:
Beth here: I like snow a lot, too. The first few snowfalls are always really nice and have that nostalgic feel to them.....then the snow becomes dirty and I'm ready for spring! :grin: Though this year it should be really fun because my daughter will be old enough to appreciate playing in it. I hope she likes it!
We've already had a slight dusting of snow, but I am anxiously awaiting our first big snowfall! I love it when the snow falls overnight and there's enough for Roger to have to snow-blow the driveway. If it's a work-day, I call my boss and tell him I cannot get out until Roger clears the driveway. While he's out there clearing the driveway, I sit in my favorite chair and catch some extra ZZZZ's.
What a way to get out of work!!! :grin:
Snow??? Is that the white stuff that falls from the sky occasionally. It's easy for me to forget here in SC. Right now we are playing hide and seek with Fall. It was absolutely wonderful for the last week-perfect fall weather, 65 degrees and beautiful October blue skies. Yesterday it decided to rain all day and now the season is confused. It is 80 degrees today and supposed to be that way tomorrow before Fall finally returns for the weekend. My mom's birthday is tomorrow and she doesn't like cold weather, so maybe this is what she ordered for her special day!
I Love snow, probably because we see it so rarely. Last year we had such a terrible ice storm, I think everyone is afraid to have anything resembling frozen precipitation around here. I will take my chances. The last time we had much snow was right after we got Schatzi! I took her outside to play in it!!
Porky here: Yes Chile...I love my baffs!!! Da groomer told my momma she's gonna try and schedule Berman (the Shihtzu) for the same day as me next month. She said she needs a good laugh once a month! Besides, she liked dat we were making fwiends so well and wanted us to get together again.
Well, last year, we got a BIG snow for us!!! Momma couldn't even dig a hole big enough for me so I had to use the litter box wif da kitties. I did not like that!!! So...I usually left momma a pwesent on da floor. Den she started getting stwict wif me and taking me to da box once every hour! Dis snow wasn't too bad, but I still threw a fit about going outside. There was no dry spot for me to put my feet on. I had to get them wet and cold. My belly got cold too even though I had my coat on, it soaked through. We only got about 1 1/2 inches of snow, but my belly was dragging. OK....So..I'm short...Got a problem with it?!
Porky's mom here: We havent been getting much snow over the last few years either, or rain for that matter. I think we got three snow storms last year, and the worst one only dropped 6 inches. This year is looking so much more promising for snow which is exciting. I'm with Beth though, the snow and cold does get old quickly. (after Christmas for me) Mindy, I love your can't go to work excuse!! I'll have to remember that. LOL
