Title: POD October 5
Post by: lucylu on October 04, 2006, 08:36:29 PM
1.  Where do you live? West Point, MS

2.  Spouse?  Significant other?  Tony married 17 years in November

3.  Children - how many and ages. 3 of the best kids in the world, 2 girls ages 15 and 13, one boy age 10

4.  What do you do for a living? Right now I am student teaching, will graduate in December FINALLY

5.  If you dare.....your age and describe yourself ! 38 years young, I describe myself as very loyal to my friends, I just want everyone to be happy and I have a hard time telling people no.

6.  What is your dream car/vehicle?   Color? Any Lexus, any model, any color. Right now I drive a 94 Chrysler van with 220,000 miles so anything would be a dream car

7.  Other than your passion for dachshunds, what are your hobbies? Avid Reader, any genre.

8.  If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be? This maybe silly but I want to go to the Grand Canyon, stay in the resort at the bottom, get up before sunrise, then ride a hot air balloon the length of the canyon.

9.  Do you collect anything? Not really, I use to collect bells but now I have so many I couldnt stand to look at another one

10.  Favorite Food/ Favorite junkfood. Chinese food, popcorn dipped in french onion dip

11.  Favorite Movie The Green Mile, Fried Green Tomatoes, Steel Magnolias

12.  Favorite Color - Purple, Orange and Lime Green

13.  Favorite Song/Artist - anything by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Three Dog Night, and Alan Jackson, what a combo, huh?

14.  Tell us a funny story about yourself. When I was about 5, my family and I went camping at J P Coleman park, for some stupid reason I stuck a daisy up my nose then couldn't get it out. My dad refused to take me to the ER to have it removed. SO I slept all night with that flower in my nose. THe next morning, my mom made scrambled eggs. I sneezed, when I opened my eyes... there was the daisy smack dab in the middle of my eggs. My family still tells that story after 30 some odd years. I will never live it down. It will probably be etched into my tombstone

15.  What is the most exciting thing you have ever done? Quitting my job, going back to school full time while being a mother and a wife.

16.  If you won the lotto, what would you do with the money? Give a huge amount to my church, pay off all my bills, and take my family to the Grand Canyon

17.  What are you most proud of? Completing my bacholers of science at the age of 38, my husband and three children, I would be a nobody without the support of my sweet family

18.  Any other tidbits about you that you would like to share?  Come on.....  Well, I tend to talk to myself alot. I have to argue with myself to make major decisions. Many times I answer myself. Lucy hears a lot of my conversation but so far she's keeping the secret. She does give my strange looks sometimes.

I hate having my picture taken so there are none of me. I am redheaded, fair complexion and do not look like I belong to the kids.

Happy POD!

Yes, I can understand wanting to go to the Grand Canyon.  Stay in one of the old cabins that are inside the Park and near the Rim!  So great that not only did I watch the sunset the first night, I got up the next morning and watched the sunrise!  Then I rode a mule!  It is awesome!

Then the next trip should be Yellowstone!  That's another week!

Lovely looking kids...must take after their Mom!

have fun,

Dianne

Happy Person of the Day Leah !!!   I almost snorted my water when I read your flower story - that is just too funny !!!    I think they should etch a daisy on your gravestone   :2funny:   Just kidding !!!!!

I love your trio of singers.....I am telling my age - but when I was in college - 1971, Three Dog Night came and performed in Lubbock.  My friends and I were lucky to get on the third row, front and center and we stood on our chairs the whole concert - it was GREAT !!!   CCR is the best and  I am a country fan so I love Alan Jackson !!!

Thanks for sharing your life with us !

Happy POD.

You have a beautiful family!

220,000 miles...that's a lot of driving, even for 12 years.   Our band van has 229,000, but we bought it at 174,000 and put a new engine in it.

I've been known to talk to myself, too.   Rudy used to watch me intently.  The neatest thing he would do would be to lock his eyes on mine and then bring himself from a standing to a sitting position, never breaking his stare.
