Title: To fire...or not to fire...that is the question????
Post by: doxielady5569128 on October 01, 2006, 02:46:04 AM
Here's our problem.  A month ago, August 19th, we had an auction  to sell our home.  The auction did not go well and the house did not sell.   Our next step was to have our real estate agent put our house on the market. That day, the 19th, he said on Wednesday we'll come down and put up a sign and have your house listed on our website.  Well....it is now over a month later and there is still no sign on our property, it is listed on the website, and there are NO advertisements for it like promised.  :cussing:  We have called tree times and asked them to put up a sign and they always say they will by the end of the week.   :BangHead:

Here's the question....What should we do?  :dontknow: We are considering breaking the contract with them and going with another Real Estate company, but aren't sure if that will cause legal issues.  We are also considering asking for the sign and making the one hour drive to our house and put up the sign ourselves.   Any ideas what we should do?  This was our first home we bought and also the first house we are trying to sell.    We need it to sell as quickly as possible and have informed the real estate agent of this.  We are currently paying for two homes, the one we live in and the one we are trying to sell, which is why we need so desperately to see our house sold.  Any advice would be so helpful!!!

Well..i think we worked out  solution.   We talked to our agent and he offerred to let us take the sign down ourselves this weekend.   He also apologized for not getting it done and is waiving his fee for when the house does sell.  He honestly felt bad about it.  Apparently he had asked the guy under him to put up the sign and was under the impression that it had gotten done.   now that is all cleared up, hopefully we will be getting some calls real soon.   Our home is in a very small town, so its not very appealing to most people.  We are expecting it to take a year or so to sell. We are hoping for better, but want to be realistic.
