Etta here, poor Bishop is so beat up by Lainey, I don't know what happened to my sweet lazy loving pup she has turned into a wild woman, chews on the tips of Bish's ears leaving them all scabby, he has scabs on his throat and chest from her little teeth and his hind legs are all chewed up too. i feel so bad for him, I swear they are complete opposites he is a total lover and she is this crazy but lovey little spitfire and even when she hurts him he wont correct her, he lets her beat him up. I know its just play but my poor boy looks like he has been mauled but a Tasmanian devil. I put neosporin on all of his little chew marks but is there something that i can put on him the will stop her biting those areas? And I know it isn't lack of chew toys because they have plenty, I know it is just a stage I just feel bad for my boy, but I guess he puts up with it because he knows he can get away from her when we are home. The neosporin has been working pretty well, I clean the scabs (he is such a good boy never complains when i play with his owwies) then I put a good amount on them, I am just afraid that his fur wont grow back. Also off the biting problems do any of your SH doxies have thin fur on their belly (bottom of the rib cage) Bishops looks like it is "rubbing" off. I will say thought his coat is beautiful I am switching him from Royal Canin to Castor & Pollux and his coat has more sheen and is a lot healthier. I eventually want to feed them Canidae, do any of you use or have heard about them? I will post pic soon of Bish N' Lain soon.
