Hey guys,
Well I was on a walk wif my momma dis morning and I was a grouch!!! I didn't get any sleep at all last night cause I was worried about the loud whistling wind and my daddy was working nights at his new job. Anyway......I learned an important lesson today. As we were walking i kept hearing these weird noises. "GOBBLE,GOBBLE, GOBBLE!" Then I saw two wild turkeysby my grandma's yard. Since I was grouchy, I thought i would tell them to take a hike and leave grandma's house alone! I ran up to them and barked loud as I could. The thing that happen next still has me shaking!! The male turkey, turned around pecked me in the head and started chasing me.
I was so scared I just kept running and running then BOOM!!!!! I ran right into the other turkey and i was trapped between them!! I looked over to see if momma was still in sight and she was just laughing and laughing at me. I didnt think it was very nice of her to laugh at me when i was so scared. Well momma came in and saved me from the turkeys and laughed all the way home. Then she said,"Maybe you learned your lesson, leave those turkeys alone." And she said, "If ya wanted to eat turkey so bad, you should have eaten your breakfast!" :2funny: The moral of the story is....NEVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, BARK at a turkey, especially if there's two of them!!!!
By the way, I wasnt hurt at all, just had my pride bruised. I think I'll take a nap now since i'm so tired. I'll try to make friends with the turkeys tomorrow so I can apologize to them for being a grouch today.
Porky's mom- I never laughed so hard in my life! I really wish I would have had a video camera to capture the turkeys chasing Porky!!! It was the funniest thing! They weren't trying to hurt him, just teach him a lesson. In case you are wondering...yes, Porky was on a leash. (One of those that stretch real far) Hopefully we wont have any turkey incidents tomorrow.
:2funny:

Porky! Your momma needs to put all your adventures together in a book! I would certainly buy it and read it to my furbabies every night. You give a lot of good advice - stuff I'd never think to tell them!
I can't believe you got so close to those turkey! I've never been around a live one, but if I were, I'm sure I'd either faint or high tail it in the other direction!
Jenny-
Actually my momma is thinking of writing a book all about me. :hello2: She loves to write children's books for fun and thought the Adventures of Porky the Great would be a great idea for her next few books. I think that sounds pretty fun! She probably wont have them published though, she has more fun just writing them.
Actually those turkeys, weren't that scary. They were just year old turkeys, so they weren't the real big ones. and they left their feathers tucked in. Since they didn't peck me too hard, I knew they were just telling me to back off. They are actually really pretty, did you know when they get mad or stressed their heads turn blue and their throats turn more red? Just a fun fact. I really like making their heads turn blue.
Porky's mom- I have been thinking about writing some books of his adventures. I have never had such an adventerous dog before! LOL I was still toying with the idea, but have had quite a few people suggest it, so I might actually do it. :dontknow: If I'll actually try to get it published or not. If I do I might also try publishing another book I wrote when I was in elementary school. I used that story in a college class and got an A. So who knows.
